As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

I’m thoroughly disgusted by this mistake. I suppose we can hope another broadcaster picks it up, but, thanks to FOX’s pathetic lack of marketing/promotion, the show isn’t present on too many radars. This cancellation is just further evidence that FOX has no interest in nurturing quality programming. Rupert and his sycophantic scourge of neoconservative drones want nothing but the quick bucks collected by catering to those who can’t quite pull themselves up into lowest common denominator. Fox wake up! Why take off the BEST show on TV and you keep the junk on*****guess Fox his hit rock bottom to get rid of something 93% liked. Guess We won’t watch Fox anymore!

Agree! it wasn’t advertised well at all! But FOX wants to blame the show! The show had so many twists and turns – like that ending with the Angelicos killing the daughter!! OMG that blew my mind! How could they do that to Ryan!! If you hadn’t been watching the show all season that dang season finale would have made you a watcher! Had me on the edge of my seat!! LOVE. LOVE, LOVE this show!!!
This is so unbelievable!!!!! Like others Ive been checking in “HOPING” they wouldnt cancel this show but again – another huge mistake by FOX! This show was so good and just getting better!!! Was Soooooooooooo looking forward to next season! I can’t even express my level of disappointment!

Omg i cant believe that it wont be a season 2 especially since i have been looking for an release date. Each and every Thursday i was tuned in and each and every time it had me at the edge of the bed. Im so upset that yor are taking it off the air. It became my favorite show.

What in the world are you thinking?? There are so many story lines left…… This GREAT show airs at the perfect time and the characters do an EXCELLENT job!! I just thought I couldn’t wait for the next episode. How can you go by the rating when you debut a brand new show in the summer – no one stays home to watch tv. Everyone and I mean everyone looks forward to the new Fall line up – why would you NOT at least try a second season?????!!!!!
Why would fox do this? The show was great and we’ll casted. It looks into another side of the spectrum. I see the success sons of anarchy had and the shows are pretty similar to another in certain aspects. Canceling gang related is a bad move on foxes part. Upon the second season if it were to happen, can possibly generate better ratings. Seems like it was not advertised very much. Myself & a group of group of friends watched this religiously through hulu in Australia. The 1st season was many times better than SOA & Breaking Bad season 1 and look at the success and following these 2 shoes have. I don’t understand how this show can be cut after 13 excellent scripted episodes.
