As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

Great show, I would watch it on another channel, Fox made a horrible decision in canceling. C’mon, I hope it gets picked up by another channel
I think no I know Fox is making a big mistake on canceling the show, my niece and I talk all week long about what went on last week and we could not wait until the following Thursday to come just to see what will happen this next up coming episode, we both find out at the same time that there will not be a 2nd season. Shame on you Fox. Can another network please please please please pick Gang Related up
I am SO DISAPPOINTED! We were glued to the TV on Thursday nights!!! Can’t FX pick it up since SOA is about to wrap up? SOMEBODY NEEDS TO PICK UP THIS SHOW! There is still too much to conitnue, too many questions left unanswered. #FOX SUCKS
I am SOOOO mad that you cancelled this show. I LOVED this show and looked forward to watching it every week. It should have been aired in the fall and not the summer, guarentee it would have had alot more viewers. Please don’t give up on it, bring it back for the fall.

I’m so sad that they cancelled the show. It was amazing and my father even sat down every Thursday to watch it with me. HE NEVER DOES THAT! Fox premiered it at the wrong time. Summer time everyone is out and about. Fox should have premiered the show in September. Guarantee it would have done so much better! Please please please bring Gang Related back!!!!!
This is unbelievable! This was such an amazing show. Fox! What the heck?!!? This show immediately grabbed the attention of viewers. We fell in love with each character (something that doesn’t happen with all shows). This is soooo sad. I dont think it was a good idea to cancel.

I can’t believe you cancelled this show…..instead you continue to show so many nonsense shows…….this show was one of the best we have watched in a long time……comparable to Black List which is returnng. Please reconsider….

I loved that show and recorded every episode! Well maybe it had low ratings, but its summer! People love to vacation!! There are far worse shoes on TV right now that have many around several seasons! Bring the show back!

Bummer I really loved that show watched it every Thursday! I was looking forward to a season two.
We found the show after a few episodes , because there was nothing else me and my enjoyed on Thursday’s , we found our self’s looking forward to Thursday’s , and were excited about the next season. Very disappointing it has been canceled. Maybe viewers were just afraid some of the drama that was showed really is happing. There are other shows currently coming back with similar plots, but gang related happens to have a cast heavy with Hispanic, (Mexican Americans), (Chicano’s), i.e. (POWER).
