Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”
The series has been a Friday night staple for several seasons, but the ratings have seen a dip this season. Do you want a sixth season of this series? Tell us what you think.
Grimm is my favorite T.V. program! I look forward every Friday to view it with my husband. It is very well written and acted! I understand that ratings are important, but you would make many people sad if you stop airing this excellent program. So please NBC, do not cancel it. Allow a sixth season for all of us Grimm fans.
Please listen to all of us who love GRIMM! I love this show because it’s like no other. The characters are intertwined perfectly, the storylines always leave me on the edge of my seat & the actors are great! NBC, what you are lacking is a good show to lead or follow Grimm. You’ve tried several & they have failed. Keep trying!
Grimm & Days of our Lives are the only 2 shows I watch on NBC. PLEASE, listen to us.
Grimm is the best show on tv. My family and I watch it every week and I have gotten many of my friends to watch it and they enjoy it as well. We have watched this great show from the very beginning. There are still so many different plot lines that the writers can take advantage of. The show deserves a season 6 so they can wrap the series up.
Grimm should get a 13 episode sixth season to wrap everything up. Even though its ratings are below a 1.0, ending it after season 5 isn’t right. I’ve discussed this quite often this week. I love TV SERIES FINALE, but articles like this(other sites have articles saying the same thing) aren’t helpful. NBC is an EXTREMELY UNPREDICTABLE NETWORK, and they’ve made some very bizarre decisions in the last 2 years. Until they say the show is cancelled, I have to believe it won’t be.
I love GRIMM!! There has to be at least an ending! How will we know what happened to Diana!? Will Eve remain eve? Nick and Adalynn!?[or] is the Captain going to be in that mix? [where are the other 3 keys?] who is trouble really? Don’t leave Us hanging! the list go’s on; there’s got to @ least be a 6th season!
Please don’t cancel Grimm. For each of us willing to write in there’s probably 1000 or more who watch it religiously every Friday. It’s such a quality show with beautiful cinematic effects, fantastic script and wonderful acting. I think it’s awesome that none of these actors have gone all diva and asked for gigantic salaries but are up there in Portland forming a bond with the community and with their audience for the love of what they do. And we love what they do too, it’s an absolutely fantastic show unlike anything else on the air.
Grimm is one of the best shows on your network .I look for this show every Friday night it is only one of 3 shows that I watch every week and I think if your network were to put it on at another time more people would like it too.
Please renew Grimm! My mom and I watch it every Friday so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE renw Grimm
“NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season.”
I think “Grimm” will only end after its fifth season because of low ratings. “Grimm”‘s 18-49 demo rating hasn’t been above a full point since its fifth season premiere last October. Plus, if “Grimm” does end after its S5, I think they’d risk leaving unresolved cliffhangers.
This is my favorite TV show – I look forward to it each week. I’m about to start watching the series from the beginning again. There are so many good plot lines going right now – let’s see what happens with them!
Please keep Grimm I love the show so much I even watch reruns at 5 am
I love Grimm! I am a middle age RN and I buy the products that run in the ads between the show scenes! Grimm is my go to favorite after a hard week caring for patients. I love the story lines and the fantasy and the excellent make-up on the characters! Please give Grimm a chance. I notice that you do not promote this show like you do that stupid Quantico! Grimm is a delightful romp in pure fiction! Keep it alive for US! Thank you!
I love Grimm it’s my favorite show, if I can’t be here to watch it I DVR it. Its probably the only show I’ve ever been so impressed with the concept that I’ve talked friends & family members into watching it. Please don’t take it off I look so forward to it.
Of course!!!
I love Grimm! IT IS MY FAVORITE SHOW! IT IS A show SIMILAR TO X,-FILES, LOVE STORY, SCI FI, Grimm’s FAIRY TALES, POLICE THRILLER! JUST A GOOD SHOW. I HOPE IT IS NOT CANCELLED OR MOVED FROM FRIDAY NIGHT. LOVE THE CHARACTERS AND THR STORYLINE.
