Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”
The series has been a Friday night staple for several seasons, but the ratings have seen a dip this season. Do you want a sixth season of this series? Tell us what you think.
Grimm is the best show on at the moment. I understand how ratings work but i do not think the powers that be understand how this show is watched, We have a room full of people to watch Grimm. We get together as group to watch,7-10 people and i know many others do the same. Grimm is an event, something we have not seen on TV in 30 years! Real good whole family entertainment. I want to watch season 12!
My friends and I have Grimm not night we pot luck or bring food in and watch it. At least bring it to a close and tie up loose ends. I enjoy the show . I watch it on Amazon Prime a lot. Its a Shame the rating system doesn’t rate digital video recordings (d.v.r).it needs to rate hulu too.
Please do not cancel Grimm. It’s one of our favorite shows. We watch it on DVR. It’s a great show that mixes horror, suspense, mystery and crime. Alot left to be told as part of the story….
Please atleast have an season 6 to have an ending. This is my husband and mine favorite show. We watch season 1 through season 4 almost everyday. This is the best show in a long time.
Love this show so fed up with “reality” disgusting TV I want to be entertained without guns and cops. Grimm is great fantasy based on those old fairytales some of grew up on.
A sixth season would be nice even if was just to end the series.
I love this series and have been watching since day 1. I would hate to see it end. I really hope it continues.
I’ve watched this show from the 1st episode and would love to see it continue!!
This is a great series, I would hate to see it end so quickly. There’s a lot more stories to tell.
NOOOOOOO! GRIMM is our very favorite show!!! It’s amazing! The reason for the lower ratings isn’t because it’s not good, it’s because there are a very few episodes…then a very long break…A few more episodes, another very long break… I love GRIMM!!!
YES! PLEASE… don’t cancel the series! It’s one of the few shows I watch. (I watch it online, so I probably doing get counted in the ratings) 🙁
I love the show as many do. I’m sure if the ratings have dropped it’s because of all the breaks! It’s frustrating and breaks the continuity of the story. This causes loss of interest.
More, please
This is one of the best shows on any network! It is smart, funny, terrifying, action packed all in one episode. You would have to pay $15.00 and go to a theatre with hundreds of loud people to get this kind of entertainment. These actors make you care about them and you can see that they really care about each other. I can only guess that most people would rather be entertained by contrived and trashy “reality shows” than watch a truly creative, unique and intelligent show with outstanding effects and make up that again you can only find in… Read more »
Grimm has always been a great show. But I have to let you know, it is finally going somewhere. What I mean is that it’s been playing with not so clear destination in the arcs… now it’s taking a definite direction. And I love it. Please keep it up. The pieces are finally falling into place. It’s getting better and better, Every character shines. Thanks. Let it roll. It´s looking great.
