Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”
The series has been a Friday night staple for several seasons, but the ratings have seen a dip this season. Do you want a sixth season of this series? Tell us what you think.
I love Grimm, it seems that each time a good show is on the networks cancel it. What a shame.
I agree with one of the post. There’s not a lot on tv to watch anymore. Please do not take Grimm off the air. It is a great show.
I would hate to see Grimm go it is the only thing I watch on NBC. There are fewer and fewer reasons to turn on the television. The only thing left will be the real housewives of who cares and the obnoxious Kardashians forget anything that has a story.
My favorite show! Please renew it.
Please do not cancel Grimm! I savor each episode. I repeat what previous commenters have said : “Grimm is the best! Hope another network such as Netflix picks it up if cancelled; Always look forward to watching Grimm on Friday!” I also love it is on location in beautiful Portland, Oregon!
Yes, Grimm is the best. One of my favorite shows. Great for a Friday night.
I always looking forward to watch Grimm every Fri night Please continue for Season 6. My favorite show is G-R-I-M-M
Please do not cancel this series, it is my only Friday night show, gives something to look forward to. I know a lot of followers that also are upset if this is canceled.
Yes yes! I love Grimm and it is getting better and better with each episode. I would be very disappointed if it was canceled, there is so much more to see. Although I don’t watch it on Friday nights, I DVR it but it is very different from anything else I watch.
Yes keep it going, the stories are entertaining and it’s the only program I watch regularly on NBC. The cast work very well together and have created realistic personalities that interact well with each other an stay true to themselves. I can’t wait until Fridays to watch and I’m planning on taking my vacation in Portland to see the places where filming took place.
Love Grimm–record it and watch it later. Please continue with a Season 6!
Yes please. I want Season 6 desperately
My spouse and I loved this show since day one. All of the main characters have a great chemistry with one another. If NBC chooses to end the series, then end it with season 6, not now.
We have been following Grimm from network to network but it has gotten a little dark this season and not as funny as in the beginning.
Grimm is the greatest show on the planet. It has a cult following that will grow if you market it as such. If NBC can’t see this, my hope is that another network, maybe Netflix picks it up to keep it going.
