Good news for Grimm fans. Deadline reports NBC has renewed the drama for a sixth season.
The series is currently in the middle of its fifth season.
Inspired by Grimms’ Fairy Tales, Grimm stars David Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a homicide detective who battles against supernatural forces. The series also stars Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
The renewal is a little bit surprising. So far, ratings for season six have been middling at best, with an average of .91 in the 18-49 demo and around 3.97 million viewers.
From NBC exec Jennifer Salke:
We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons. They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”
What do you think? Do you watch Grimm? Are you glad it’s been renewed?
I so love this show. I am really excited they they were renewed. Yes! For me is one of the best show of all times!
love grimm my favorite show
Please don’t cancel the show. I’m always looking forward to watching it on Fridays and I even have it recorded so I can go back and watch it again.
Have been watching the show since day one. Absolutely love it. My opinion is Nick and Juliette will get back together. Adeline went too far by taking Nick’s son. Anxious to see how this plays out.
Please do not cancel the show Grim. I look so forward to every new episode, haven’t missed one since it first began. Cannot wait to see what the relic is for, if it can help weaken Black Claw. Every character is so amazing. Please keep it going…
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL GRIMM! I LIVE IN OREGON & THIS SHOW IS HUGE. i CANT IMAGINE MY FRIDAY NIGHTS WITHOUT NICK & THE GANG
HUNTING DOWN THESE INTERESTING CREATURES & HOW IT ALL RELATES BACK TO HIS ANCESTORS. MONROE’S LOVE FOR ROSALIE IS TRULY LIKE A FAIRYTAIL. HANK CRACKS ME UP & WU, WELL ALL I CAN SAY IS POOR WU. CANT WAIT TO SEE HOW HIS NEW CREATURE SIDE EVOLVES. CAPTAIN RENARD, ADELINE, JULIETTE AKA EVE – IT TAKES EACH & EVERYONE OF THESE CHARACTERS TO BRING THESE STORIES
TO LIFE. KEEP GRIMM GOING FOR ANOTHER 10-YEARS!
Been a fan from the first episode and have got others into it too. Glad they are giving us another season!
I absolutely LOVE Grimm!! Please keep it coming!
At 67 my wife and I are not in the demographic. We haven’t missed a single show in 5 years. I can’t say that about any other TV show in my life.
I luv Grimm…and Nick getting together with Adeline. Looking forward to the Grimm kickin’ some Black Claw butt!
I know there are quite a few us who like syfy and fantasy, Especially well written shows
I have been a devoted fan for all 6 seasons. Like Edward I am not in th target range being 58 but the stories and plot all keep surprising. Season 4 got a bit thin but the next season tightened up plots nicely.
So grateful Grimm is back for Season 6! We just discovered it this year (our twenty-something daughters insisted we’d love it) and have been catching up on Netflix and ended up buying all the DVDs (will get Season 5 when available). We want more Grimm!!! Will be noting the sponsors and writing to them thanking them & letting them know they got our attention for their products. We are the older affluent demographic, maybe that will help?
When I have tried to find Grimm on netflix its not there…is it really availablr on netflix now?
Sarah, we got it
on DVDs through the mail (seasons 1-4) from Netflix, don’t know if they have it on streaming…. You can also buy the DVDs on Amazon, Season 5 coming out end of this month (Sept. 2016).
I love Grimm. Please bring back all 22 episodes! Love the actors, love how they interact with each other. Love the story line. Keep them coming please.
Love grimm ,I got Hulu a couple years back and started watching and soon it was one of my favorite shows. I also am not in there target demo being 66 years old.
Us, too, Edward — just because we’re “seniors” doesn’t mean we should be ignored. Our demographic tends to have $$ to spend, sponsors!!!! And heaven knows we can all use a good fantasy to enjoy in our R&R time these days!
