Last week, ABC revised their primetime schedule and the final two episodes of Happy Town were bumped. The move didn’t come as a big surprise since the ratings have continued to drop lower and lower.
It was speculated that the episodes might air on a Saturday night in July, following in the footsteps of fellow cancelled shows the forgotten (July 3rd) and Eastwick (July 10th).
Now, the unofficial word is that the last two episodes of Happy Town won’t even be shown on TV. Instead, they’ll be burned off on ABC’s website. The show’s official network representative couldn’t offer us any details but confirmed that ABC doesn’t have plans to air the final episodes in the foreseeable future.
The writers and producers of Happy Town have been told that they’ll be released online but haven’t been able to find out when that will happen either. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
UPDATE: The last episodes have been posted. You can watch “Dallas Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and “Blame it on Rio Bravo” here.
What do you think? Does it upset you that the last two episodes will be released on the Internet? Does it matter?

This was a fun show to watch with my teenager…can’t believe you they aren’t even airing the last episodes…almost as bad as not having a finale for Heroes!
OMG ABC you stink!!! Happy Town was one of my favorites. And to say you will only show the last 2 episodes online is an even bigger “You Stink”. What about those of us who don’t have regular access to the internet? Does ABC care at all about the viewers? And you cancel Happy Town and add some dumb vampire show. Who’s bright idea was that?
and yes it is a great show and NO I don’t want to watch it on a computer!
I’m soooo tired of them cancelling shows that they don’t even give a chance to! That is why I only have basic cable. It’s fustrating to watch a show and then all of a sudden it’s gone. or put on another time and you can’t find it. I’m sick of getting interested in a show and then it disappears and you don’t know the ending!
I love happy town and I’m sad to see it go. I don’t understand how ABC expect any show to hit big numbers on wednesday night at 10pm. I think I’m done with abc shows. I don’t understand how Grey’s Anatomy (which hasn’t been good since season 1, the writing is horrible) and cougar town are still on the air. Weather it’s online or tv I will watch the remaining episodes and say good bye to Happy Town and Abc.
Stop this garbage! Start a show, get us interested, then dump it. What kind of business is run like this? Not everyone wants to watch shows on A COMPUTER! It’s a bit isolating!Hard to share the moment with your friends and family and a bowl of popcorn. You have the episodes in the can , RUN THEM !!!!
this is a great, quality show……and abc owes all of us viewers, who have given a chance to every abc show they priemere ( usually quirkier & more offbeat than nbc & cbs)
this decision will make me never give their network premieres another chance, for fear of abandonment! right now im wearyt of giving the gates and scoundrels a chance, for they too can be axed, and the plotline/ mystery will not revealed. this is why cable is faring better
This is ridiculous. I will watch when and where it airs, but will be very cautious about what I watch on ABC from now on. I really like this show. Why start something you can’t finish?
This is one of the better shows! Please air them. There sre to many shows that are alike ( cop shows) Happy Town was a breath of fresh!
That blows ! I watched the last ep aired on the 16th and it actually said the finale was 6/30 !
Need to air the last few episodes on tv.
The last few episodes should be shown on tv. The show has mystery to it, and I’m sure there are many many people that would like to see it unwind. It’s much better than everything else that is playing on tv.
They are fools for cancelling this awesome show! ABC is NOTHING like it used to be. With actions like this — no wonder!
i am very upset, i was really into this show. i don’t watch shows online but i would because they can’t just leave us hanging like this. they should give it a chance…………it’s really good.
I think they should air the last two episodes on tv for those who don’t have internet or people live me whose internet is too slow to be able to watch the program. I loved the show. It is goodbye to ABC for me since this is their only show I watched.
