What do you think? Do you still like the How I Met Your Mother TV series? Are you sorry that there won’t be a 10th season or is it time for the show to end?
Noooooo not time to say good bye! I think they easily made a tenth season out of it. I’m really going to miss it. It an end of era which I don’t want to end. PLEASE!!
Cancel! Ugh! So tired of this one.
I guess it was time to say good bye. I remember years back, “That 70s Show” ran it’s course but for some reason Fox decided to bring it back with some of it’s core characters gone. It was a disaster! So bad in fact, it tainted the earlier good episodes. I may not be completely happy with the way HIMYM ended, but it remained true to it’s message and maintained it’s sense of purity.
Kids… hold on for just a few more weeks and I’ll get to the part where I met your mother. Then you can take a bathroom break.
I think it is nice to see a series and its story come to its natural conclusion while its ratings/viewership are still high. It’s probably a good thing, because, out of respect for the story, a 10th season of “How I Met Your Mother” would have been overkill, IMHO.
The reality is, whether anyone commenting on this site wants a certain long-running scripted TV show to end or not, no scripted TV show can really run forever.
I watched all the episode in a few weeks on netflixs and season 8 on tv it is and will be one of the best sitcoms for awhile… I don’t want this show to end, I love each character in my own way. I think it would be a perfect ending for it to end at season 9 with me wanting more and loving the show over all and not pushing it to the ground. This show will always have a place in my heart but make me want more sitcoms, not only be funny but have great characters and… Read more »
That is what I was trying to say. It needs to go out on a high. Maybe a spin off.
This show should have ended a long time ago. With some titles the show can only so long before it becomes ridiculous. I stopped watching a few seasons ago. Nothing was really new and got tired of the story how he met the mother of kids that are not part of the show. I may watch the last few episodes just to see who it is
How can you judge a show you don’t even watch????
If you did watch it, you would have found out who the mother was on last season’s finale. She will be a big part of the episodes this season, and is now a member of the regular cast.
I watched it for many seasons but it was in my opinion and others that I know who gave up on it too, it became boring. Some of the best shows need to end at some point to go out on top.
All shows change over time, hopefully for the better, sometimes for the worst. If you haven’t watched a show for several seasons, it’s pretty damned dumb to voice an opinion of the current season without having seen it. Do you live your life making all your decisions on old and out of date facts? Sheesh!
No. I made MY OPINION. If you don’t like it then don’t like. I seen All of the ads for it and caught some of the shows. It is NOT one that I watch because I like it ANYMORE. You have your OPINION I have mine. The title and the premise of the show gives it a shorter time to run. I really like Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segal and hope they get a new show ,maybe a spin off. And ANYONE that makes decisions in life the way they watch TV would be beyond STUPID. They site asks… Read more »
I guess I’ll take your lead and start voicing my opinions on shows I don’t watch. After all, actually watching a show before judging it is apparently no longer important.
Still a Great show. The ratings are really strong for a show in its 9th year. It was the highest rated show of CBS’s Monday night lineup
