It looks like TV Land is retiring Impastor. Recently, star Michael Rosenbaum confirmed the network has cancelled the TV series after two seasons.
The comedy followed Buddy Dobbs (Rosenbaum), a slacker who winds up stealing the identity of a small town pastor. The cast also included Sara Rue, Mircea Monroe, Mike Kosinski, and David Rasche.
Though ratings for Impastor were never high, the numbers for season two continued to drop. The season, which ended last week, earned an average rating of 0.08 in the 18-49 demo and only 362,000 viewers. For comparison, season one received an average rating of 0.11 in the 18-49 demo and 456,000 viewers.
Rosenbaum confirmed on Facebook that TV Land has not picked up the series for a third season:
What do you think? Are you a fan of Impastor? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
Of course they would cancel a “GOOD” show like that, replace it with some idiotic show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it!!
I thought this show was hilarious.
Oh I was so looking forward to new season. I hadn’t heard it was cancelled and I’ve been checking on demand for new episodes for a month now. This was one of the funniest shows with such originality. I am not going to be on tv land anymore if they don’t know what they’ve got.
