ABC is sticking with Last Man Standing. Deadline reports the network has renewed the Tim Allen sitcom for a sixth season.
Yesterday, we reported that ABC has also renewed Last Man Standing‘s Friday night companion, Dr. Ken, for a second season.
The renewal news isn’t that much of a surprise. Earlier, Allen tweeted that ABC was interested in a sixth season of the family comedy, which also stars Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, Flynn Morrison, and Hector Elizondo.
Season five of Last Man Standing held steady in the ratings, earning an average of 1.21 in the 18-49 demo and 6.743 million viewers. Comparatively, season four averaged a 1.27 rating in the 18-49 demo, with total of 6.85 million viewers.
ABC confirmed the renewal on Twitter today:

I started watching this show a little later but now I am hooked!!!! The show is funny and the vblogs are hilarious! All the actors play their parts perfect. I also love how they bring other actors on as guests. Love love love the show.

Last Man Standing is one of the best shows on TV in many years. This show is a true winner and hope to see it for many years.
Last Man Standing is my favorites sitcom. One of just 3 that I see. I don’t watch TV that much. Why did they stop showing it? I miss it very much.
