TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
VERY DISAPPOINTED A & E CANCELLED AND NOW I BOYCOTT THE CHANNEL ALTOGETHER! DID THIS WITH THE GLADES ALSO!!
This was the only show that we watched on A&E cannot believe this wonderful show was cancelled. Please decide to bring it back should have never been cancelled.
One of the best shows on TV. How stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Longmire was great! The only show I really looked forward to a new season.
With the number of viewers and the fantastic ratings I can’t believe this is one they have cancelled. This should definitely be picked up by another network! What a loss for A&E! Not only the show but the number of fans that will go with it!
So last year they left us with a cliffhanger with “The Glades.” Now this? I guess they really don’t have a clue what they are doing. They are trying to convince us that the world wants to watch fake reality shows. When they finally come up with something classic and watchable, wham, bam, thank you mam.
I really enjoy Longmire I hope the network reconsiders or the show if picked up by another network. It is very disappointing to see a good show canceled, but then low quality/class reality shows continue to be added.
The cancellation of this show makes no sense especially to the viewers who were given a cliff hanger for a last show. From what I understand, the ratings were great on this show and none of the cast were leaving. Bad move on A&E’s part.
I think it is a shame that a quality show can be canceled and A&E keep airing some of
The junk that that they are airing this is a very disturbing trend . I quess that we will have to resort to watching quality shows from years gone by on YouTube and Netflex ,
A&E should bring Longmire back or let another network pick it up. There are in our age a lot of intelligent people who really like Longmire.I would quack my bid but A&E would not let my comments be seen.Let Longmire be on the air again.
I really hope that another network picks up Longmire……I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
There is nothing on A&E that I want to watch now so they’ve lost yet another watcher……they only air crap…..
Please, Please bring back Longmire
If there is no Longmire I will not watch A&E. The programming on this channel is horrible now. I loved the Glades and Longmire. The shoes on A&E aren’t worth my time. They have lost me as a viewer.
No Walt Longmire? No A&E. I guess they didn’t go to Wyoming for the Frontier Days so they wouldn’t have seen everyone waiting for autographs…
No Longmire, No A&E.
