TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Renew it,Great show!
I love that show! Dang it.
Really enjoyed this series.
Can’t believe it’s being canceled.
But after viewing other garbage programming get renewd, it doesn’t surprise.
My #1 reason I rarely view network shows.
I will miss Walt and Vic.
This is one of the best programs on TV today, I am so sick of the ” reality ” shows. I can’t believe they would even consider cancelling this one, what is the matter with A&E? I guess they don’t like good ratings.
My husband & I love Longmire. We hope that it is picked up. It is truly a quality show.
Longmire is a good series, but, I no longer trust A&E after what they did leaving the Glades fans stranded. I cannot take the chance that they will again show complete disrespect for their once loyal fans and again cancel a program leaving them in a cliff hanger. I will not turn on A&E again, I do not respect them.
Thank yoi so much for the details. My husband and I both look forward to the new season.
My husband and I both love Longmire!! My husband has been to Wyoming and wants to take me out there !! We love all the characters. Keep the show going! We certainly are GREAT fans!!
if you cancel LONGMIRE, my frirends & I in SoCal
will not watch programs on A&E. Please reconsider.
thanks, MC2
It seems that we get a great series, they take it away from us. It the the closet to a western we get. A great series.
Best show on tv.
Just a note to let you know we both enjoy Longmire tremendously ! it is the only program we can agree on and enjoy together. keep up the GREAT program of Longmire.
Thankyou… 🙂
This is my favorite show and I really look forward to seeing it on Monday nights. My hope is that it is not cancelled. That would really upset me, even more so if it were replaced by vampires or undead. I love the charaters and the story. please don’t take it or Bluebloods away.
I was in Georgia from May until July and started watching Longmire and am now hooked and ordered the channel when I got home.
Look forward ti it every Monday. I sure hope it’s renewed.
My husband & I love this show. We are catching up with the series on DVD’s. We both truly hope the show is renewed. It’s hard to find good entertainment and not the “reality” crap.
This show has depth, not to mention it deals with using moral and ethics in life. Doing the right thing! Too many shows any more don’t care about any principals. Please keep up the good work.
