TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
BIG FAN thinks it a great show and has big enough fan base would be crazy if someone didn’t pick it up
I LOVE THIS SHOW! DON’T CANCEL IT! The way it ended, I was so looking forward to ext season.
One of the few tv showa worth watching. Very disappointed!
not surprised in the least. poor overall ratings that are down significantly year over year.
A&E Why would you want to cancel this great show? We look forward to watching the show every Monday night during the season. Please reconsider and keep Longmire on the schedule.
Seriously??? What are you doing A&E??? Absurd to cancel yet another quality show. Shame on you!
Right on Jane!
Longmire one of the best shows on tv my wife even started watching it this year it is being dropped it was 2nd in ratings on a&e behind duck dynasty. Whoever made that decision should be fired. Sheriff Longmire is a modern version similiar to John Wayne with a quiet screen presence a character of deep integrity with morals that does the right thing always, no matter how much it will cost him even personally or if the legalities dictate a certain situation should be handled a specific way. I remember a scene great writing on the show, when Longmire… Read more »
Bring it Back! Bring it Back! This is such a GREAT show. I am totally hooked and can’t believe they are going to leave us hanging! My gosh! There is even a summer festival built around this show!!!! It’s that popular!!!! Please reconsider and bring it back for at least one more season to give it a proper ending!!!
I’m in shock! I can’t understand the reasoning behind your cancelling of this how.
It’s one of the best on T.V. What a disappointment!!!!!
Why would you cancel such a good show and keep crap like Duck Dynasty! It was just a good show and we don’t have many of those anymore. Please don’t cancel it!
What kind of… What the.. Who did…
GAAAAHHHHHHHHB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate you A & E. Nothing you put on involves Art nor Entertainment EXCEPT for Longmire.
You are the GREAT SATAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, my gosh!! I can’t believe you’ve done this to us. We can’t wait for it to come back on and follow these interesting people’s lives. The story is not finished, please bring it back. There is so little decent stuff to watch that my husband and I couldn’t wait for it to start again.
Getting sick of A&E cancelling all the good shows. First it was the Glades and now Longmire?? I look forward to that show every week. What is wrong with these people? All they seem to want to do is play reruns of Criminal Minds. You get sick of those shows after a while. Seems they cancel any show that is different. Will probably cancel A&E on my tv package so I just won’t be disappointed anymore.
I won’t watch A&E again one of the best shows on T V .
No. I love that show. Are they nuts. Hope it gets picked up
