TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I love this show and I hope that someone in the industry gets smart and puts it back on the air for several more seasons, whether its A&E or another local channel. Just so we get it back. The show is filled with wonderful quips and a lot of action with a go get-em western spirit. The actors who were chosen to play the parts are great and do a wonderful job. Thank you all! AND the show is clean and not filled with a lot of crummy bad language and nudity (even though the books portray Vic with a… Read more »
I hate it when you get all wrapped in a show…and it is canceled…these days I don’t think they even give them a chance…:-( please keep Longmire on…great clean cut show…which u don’t see much anymore…
Please RENEW! We love this show!
Ditto, Ditto, Ditto to all the comments supporting the Longmire series. Ruined my Monday nite TV enjoyment. Hopefully will be picked up by an intelligent production company.
SIMPLY PUT BRING IT BACK ! This was one of the best written and acted series in a very long time.
Simply put BRING LONGMIRE BACK !
Love the book series…love the TV series. Gorgeous scenery. Great attention to detail for story lines. Incredible cast. Is A&E crazy? So many people love the show. It’s a hit! And now, because the executives want to reach a younger crowd, they cancel the series.. Really???? The “A” in A & E must stand for Age Discrimination. Wonder if they practice what they preach with their high-leveled overpaid out of touch executives?! Hope they wake up and renew the series.
Excellent series
please renew for another season
What’s the matter with A&E? They cancel Longmire & Glades only to show whole evenings of one shows reruns. They want the 18-49 demographics. What’s the matter with people over 49? We watch TV, too and actually 65+ and mostly retired have more time to watch. A lot of us are tired of watching 20-30 year olds. Haven’t they realized, yet, that most of the best actors and actresses are over 40. If these shows were so bad they were canceled why are so many people upset.. Wise up!!!! A& E executives are like politicians, thinking about money instead of… Read more »
I would not be happy if Longmire was cancelled, and neither would my husband. I can’t understand why A&E continues to shot themselves in the foot by removing popular shows that people love to watch. That is crap about age group, this is the baby boomers, a very large group of people, we still buy loads of advertised products and we will boycott your networknet!!!
Why conceal !!!!! Longmire is the only reason I watch A&E. They never keep anything good going on that network. Will never watch A&E again if they don’t bring him back.
Sure hope somebody puts this back on the air. A&E seems to cancel anything I like and watch. I’ll just find another network tired of series ending with no wrap up, announcement etc.
no way to good a show it should stay on good acting great show
Please please please renew the series Longmire. As previous viewers have commented – it is a great show for folks over 50. The cliffhanger was so good, that is the kind of ending called “season finale” which means we anxiously wait for the new season to return.
What the heck is going on. My wife and I have been looking all over the place for the show and so I look it up on the internet and find out it’s been cancelled. I have had it with A&E what is wrong with you people. You guys are a pack of losers. Thanks for nothing.. I’m going to get this put up FaceBook raise some Hell..
