TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Seriously, a show that is good enough to get me to sit and watch for an hour they cancel! It is frustrating and hard to understand. The show had great characters, good writing that pulled you into watching. With ALL the tripe now on TV, PLEASE bring Longmire back.
… bummer that this great show was cancelled.
We love Longmire. We have recommended it to friends who also love it. Good writing, solid acting and realistic portrayal of native american culture. This does not exist anywhere else on any network.
BRING LONGMIRE BACK.
I cannot believe this show was cancelled and so many of the television hours are filled with stupid reality shows that have no value at all. Longmire was an entertaining program with first class actors and stories. Our airways are being filled with trash and the decisions are being made by idiots with college educations.
Where the HELL has taste and common sense gone.
LOL
What is wrong with your network you have a great show and you cancel it wake up
Everyone I know loves this show! I can’t believe that you are cancelling the 4th Season. I don’t believe that you did any research at all to determine the show’s viewer base. Longmire is a wonderful show for all ages and all the characters were perfect and the cast melded so wonderfully well. Additionally, it is the only show on TV that is sort of a “cowboy series.” You need to rethink cancelling!!!!!!!
They cancel a good show like Longmire and then add stupid reality shows like Love Prison and Big Smo that won’t make it for one season. Imdb shows a rating of 8.1 for last season, which is a lot higher than a some of A&Es other shows and they are still on. Longmire might not appeal to everyone but we are sick and tired of all the shows about New York or LA cops — the same thing over and over. Bring back a real show with original stories that is entertaining and thoughtful and drop that inane and insipid… Read more »
Very disappointed in A & E. I will be looking elsewhere for entertainment and hope to see Longmire on another network or venue.
Please bring Longmire back! It’s a really good western drama.
Your marketing people say the fans are to old! Who do they think watches the most TV? Hopefully another station will pick this series up. Disappointed in A&E.
Know I do not think longmire should have been cancelled mainly because I do not think the network even knows who is watching things. Our tv is in my 67 year old mothers name but I’m 42 and I’m the one who watches the show.
Please bring this show back!! My husband & I have always loved this western.
Love this show , great acting and it keeps you in suspense. Wayyyyy much better than the so-called reality tv. Needs to be brought back!!!!
I have liked this show from the very beginning and have watched every episode. With all the garbage on TV (Survivor, Great Race, Dancing with Stars etc.), its a shame a quality show like this gets axed. I guess its to be expected of A&E, considering they kept trash like Storage Wars (who really gives a crap?) and Duck Dynasty.
How about age discrimination . The viewers are to old for your network. What a bunch of bunk. Nothing on A&E will be watched in my tv unless longmire is brought back.
Another vote here to bring it back. The backdrop of Indian Culture made this show unique. Lets hope another network picks up this fine show and gives it a chance–A better time slot or even a consistent one would help.
