Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

MISSING WAS THE BEST SHOW ON TV. IT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN CANCELLED. IT NEEDED NO IMPROVEMENT. THE ACTING WAS EXCELLENT, THE SCRIPT WAS EXCELLENT. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AIRED FOR THE NEXT HUNDRED YEARS AT LEAST. PLEASE BRING IT BACK ON THE AIR. FOR THE PEOPLE THAT DON”T ENJOY WATCHING IT TURN TO ANOTHER CHANNEL, THEN THE REST OF US WILL NOT BE DEPRIVED OF THE EXCELLENT SHOW……..
VERY DISAPPOINTED MISSING WAS TAKEN OFF. THAT WAS THE BEST SHOW ON TV. BRING IT BACK !!!!!!! remove some of the other shows BUT RETURN MISSING PLEASE…………

Seat….i have been waiting for it to start again and jus realizes it has been canceled…im dissapointed….i thought the show was awsome…
cbs or fox would of giving it a second change that was a great show abc has harly anything good on that station
I also am VERY disappointed Missing was x’d. I’ve been waitin for it to come back on and decided to find out what was going on. Couldn’t wait for the show to come on every week and love Ashley Judd and the cast seemed to gel together well. :-(((
Just finished watching the season one and it was amazing! We looked forward to watching it every night, it always kept our attention! I am SHOCKED, and disgusted to hear that there is not going to be a season two! How can you just leave the end of the first season like that………..That hardly seems fair to the faithful viewers that loved the action and suspense of the show! PLEASE give us season two!!!!!
I throughly enjoyed Missing. Many of us watch it ON Demand. I like it better because less interruptions. That should be taken in account. It was one of the best action series. Ashley Judd is a great actress. Bring it back.
I have been waiting and waiting for the series to pick back up! I finally just now googled the show only to find out it’s been canceled!! I just cannot believe it! This was the best tv series I have seen in many years! I believe ABC made a huge mistake in this one!!! I would absolutely love to see it come back.
I can’t believe it’s off the air. It was by far the best suspense TV show I had ever seen. It was like watching an action packed movie every week. I am extremely disappointed to find out it was cancelled.
What a disappointment. We haven’t seen great suspense on TV for such a long time. The actors were superb. It was like going to an awesome movie every week. Very disappointed 🙁

Very disappointed Missing was taken off the air. IT NEEDS TO BE back on TV. their are so many other disappointing shows on the TV Today, ex. X factor. Bring Missing back on air.
Very disappointed that you canceled Missing. This was a great series. My mother and I would have dinner together and watch this show every week, We NEVER missed an episode. The writing and the acting were excellent. Ashley Judd is an amazing actress and made the show.
