NCIS is trying to fill the void that will be left behind when Michael Weatherly departs the CBS series at the end of the current season. TV Series Finale reported recently that Sarah Clarke was cast in a role that has the potential become a regular role next season.
Now, another actor has been cast for a possible regular cast position for season 14. Deadline reported that Duane Henry will appear on the last two episodes of season 13 as MI-6 Officer Clayton Reeves.
The news outlet revealed that “Clayton Reeves rose above his British blue collar roots to become a successful government agent. Offbeat and fun with swagger to spare, he has a professional confidence that’s impossible to disregard. To say Reeves has burned some bridges in the international intelligence community is an understatement, but he owns the choices he’s made and he’s determined to do what’s right. Behind steely eyes and a strong, no-nonsense demeanor is a killer smile and a sense of humor to match.”
Gary Glasberg, the man in charge of NCIS, spoke about Henry being cast for the series. He said:
“We think we found something really special in Duane Henry. His unique blend of charm, heart and athletic physicality is going to be a great addition to the mix.”
Henry appeared in several UK productions before moving to Los Angeles three years ago. He appeared in the pilot for Paradise Pictures on USA.
Are you a fan of Henry’s work? Are you excited to see the new arrivals in action on NCIS? Tell us what you think.
I love NCIS and am sad to see Tony leave, however I will give the new characters a fair chance.
Well, I was going to stop watching this after Tony DiNozzo was gone, and now I’m realllly not planning to watch it… Another Brit? WTF? Don’t we have enough of them on our tv already? Ridiculous!
It’s a shame that ‘very special agent Anthony Dinozzo’ will be leaving, but a female version is silly! I hope the Brit makes the grade and the female is more ‘Ziva-like’ — that’s a different role than Ellie Bishop, so both could co-exist. . .
