Christine Campbell (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is a neurotic single mom who has a hard time juggling her responsibilities at home and work. Others in her life include her low-key brother, Matthew (Hamish Linklater); best friend and business partner, Barbara (Wanda Sykes); young son Ritchie (Trevor Gagnon); irresponsible ex-husband, Richard (Clark Gregg); and his current love, “New Christine” (Emily Rutherfurd). Often popping up to make “Old Christine” feel even more incompetent are “mean mommies,” Marly and Lindsay (Tricia O’Kelley and Alex Kapp Horner).
As you probably know, The New Adventures of Old Christine was cancelled in the spring and won’t be back for season six. On the positive side, the show is coming to syndication and Lifetime.

You can purchase it from WBShop.com or you can try to win it here. The two-disc set includes all 10 episodes (the season was cut short because of the writers strike).

Man! You TV execs really know how to get people to turn off their TVs and find something better to do. Old Christine was one of the best comedies on the networks. I can’t believe you took it off the air. Maybe I’ll join a book club. I’m sure not going to watch any of the other drivel you broadcast.
I enjoyed the show, as I like Julia Dreyfus, but I have to say, I won’t miss what I note to be an ever-popular practice of Christianity bashing and ridiculing in Hollywood’s obvious liberal leaning agenda. Definitely a detraction in an otherwise funny series. As I alluded it’s not the only one, but at least now it’s one less.
Well, I am so bummed out! I really love this show. Very sad that they will not bring it back.
why? funniest show on TV.
With the new season starting this month, I was waiting for all my favorite shows to return. It suddenly occurred to me I haven’t seen any promos for The New Adventures of Old Christine so I checked online last night. I was completely shocked to find out it was cancelled. I was even more shocked to find out ABC decided not to pick it up. It proves the point I heard many years ago that television executives don’t have a clue.
I agree with you Judi. Not good.
This show is so funny, dont want it to go.
I love The New Adventures of Old Christine and I’m really sorry to hear it’s not coming back. This is a rare show of not only the lead actress being great but she is surrounded by top notch talent. Every one on this show is great from the ex husband to the brother to the new girlfriend etc. I really will miss this one!!
Wow can’t believe the show isn’t gonna come back for it’s sixth season!…this show was truly an amazing comedy i’ve never been so into a show like this one. The story line is funny unpredictable and has made me laugh so hard my cheeks hurt. I just recently had surgery and this show comes on late at night when i can’t sleep and i love watching it im so very sad that it’s no longer on air boo hooo the network NEVER should of cancelled it I love this show. It was the only thing on tv worth watching now… Read more »
Can NOT believe “Old Christine” is gone. That was my laugh of the week ! Getting ready to tune tv out altogether – you’re telling me no one wanted to watch Julia Louis Dreyfus and Wanda Sykes, they’d rather watch Kim Kardshian and Snookie ? ? ? What about the mature intelligent viewers who would rather laugh than watch people without morals swear and flash t and a ?? Where are you people putting the Nielsen boxes ? ? ? Get a clue, ABC pick this one up !
Sooo disappointed this show will not be coming back this season! I had no idea it was cancelled and have been looking for previews.. bummer!!
I am just disgusted, distressed,& in disbelief that The New Adventures of Old Christine was cancelled & not picked up by another network. So ABC thinks they now have all the good comedy shows they need ….. Wrong …they missed out by letting this show fade away. This was such an entertaining half-hour — what a g r e a t cast!!!The 8: pm time slot was not the best cause folks just sometimes can’t get responsibilities taken care of & get set down in front of the TV by 8: pm but I can assure you I tried or… Read more »
I just heard, what a bummer, I love this show and looked foward to it each Wednesday. I suppose they’ll replace it with another stupid reality show. Dancing with your American Idol who has Talent….enough already! Remember the days of Cosby, Cheers and Fraiser? I know, sitcoms are mindless, but entertaining, I will miss Julia, she is a very talented actress!
Love this show. We watch it faithfully every week. Stop getting rid of the good shows and get rid of them stupid reality shows. I don’t care about no dancing with the stars or american idol. I want my new/ old christine!!!!
I am so sad this show is not coming back. I loved watching it every week and will definately miss it!
One of my favorite shows! I have the first two seasons and I really want this one! Please pick me!
