Though a new Wonder Woman TV series failed to get a greenlight from NBC, a new show based on the Hulk is still in the works. This is in addition to the character appearing in the upcoming Joss Whedon-directed feature film, The Avengers.
Guillermo del Toro is working on the proposed series with former Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick.
According to a recent interview with FearNet, del Toro said, “We turned in the outline to ABC about four weeks ago. And then we did a rewrite for ABC on the outline, and now we are lining up the pages.”
He didn’t talk about what direction they’ll be taking with the character but don’t expect a repeat of the 1978-82 Bill Bixby series, The Incredible Hulk. They want to take a unique approach. de Toro noted, “I think so. Or we wouldn’t be trying it. Actually, one of the points of this project early on with Marvel, was ‘We’re going to do this thing different, and here’s how. Are you interested?’ And they were.”
What do you think? Are you interested in a new Hulk TV show?
I will say that the Hulk TV series will happen this year in fall.I rather see a Hulk TV series than Hulk Film without Edward Norton. Because it’s kind of stupid to have a movie with out Ed Norton.
I’ve got 5 quetions about this new “Incredible Hulk” series:
1. Will the Hulk actually speakin this seies?
2. Will this series pick up where “Death Of The Incredible Hulk” left off?
3. Will we see the She-Hulk in this series?
4. Will the Hulk finally do a live-action team up with Spider-Man?
5. Who will they get to play the Hulk? (Obviously, CGI would be too expensive for a weekly TV series)!!!
yes that would be the smartest move to do another hulk tv show but the hulk from the movies…follow the comic as much as possible
I recently began watching the old t.v. series The Incredible Hulk starring Bill Bixby and i find the acting to be first rate. It was a mistake,in my opinion, that the show was cancelled. It was so realistic in many aspects, except for the man-becomes-hulk idea. In the pilot episode, there is a scene where Dr. Elena Marks is teasing this guy named Jerry who works at the Culver Institute with her if he’d like to run away with her, and when she mentions the Mayo clinic, he says “now your talking”. Bill Bixby’s acting was absolutely first rate in… Read more »
Hey paul I couldnt say I don t agree, because is true about what you mention
About the Hulk series. But I want you to go on my website called The New Hulk TV series.
I think for people who never got to watch the increible hulk tv show should have the experience to have some taste of what the old show was like if they are going to have a tv show. why not this time have him find the cure. im not saying it needs to be just like the tv show i miss the old shows and they need to have some thing like it instead of the movies which were ok but they needed to have a little something of the tv show in it to where people who watched it… Read more »
