I absolutely LOVE The Deep End!!!! I do not watch a lot of TV but as soon as I saw previews for this show I knew I could NOT miss the premiere and now I take the time every Thursday night to watch it. I think its the most entertaining dramedy on TV right now. The storylines are funny, yet thoughtful and the characters are touching and unique, but at the same time completely relateable. The fact is the show is simply so entertaining and that is what people need right now at a time when our country is dealing with war and an economic crisis. Its the reason people watch TV: to spend some time out of their real lives and deal with the interesting, hilarious, beautiful lives of the characters on TV. I would love to see the running plot lines and characters progress if the show continues because I believe the writer did an amazing job setting up situations within just the first few episodes that have so much potential to grow and become worthwhile for more viewers to enjoy. Please, please keep this show continuing because from what I’ve noticed for every person that criticizes The Deep End there are many others who faithfully watch the show and will be very disappointed if the show discontinues.
Please dont cancel this show! This is the first time I am actually even watching the ABC network because it seems you dont give any of these new shows a chance. The problem is I didn’t even see much publicity for this show. I had a friend who just so happened to catch it on one night and told me about it… otherwise I wouldn’t even have known The Deep End existed. Let the good word of mouth get around and Im sure you will see the ratings grow because this is a good quality show.
I always new I wanted to see this series. Tonight I went on a marathon and come to find it is now canceled. Should I just not watch ABC shows until they are signed for a second season?
I’ll admit I never really got hooked on Grey’s, but I think the Deep End has been phenomenal. The stories are captivating, the charisma amongst the cast is entertaining, while the dialogue and acting keeps a smile on my face for hours. This is the best new show to come out in the last couple years from either major or cable networks, and it would be a shame to watch it get canceled because the new generation of TV fans watch shows online instead over the air. Seriously ABC (and all other networks out there), log how many times a show is streamed via the internet and factor that into the ratings. As much as I love my parents, the boring, way-to-serious shows they typically watch on their flat-screen are probably watched online by my generation as little as the shows we watch on our laptops are on their digital boxes. The ratings system is broken, but don’t punish a great show because of that. Keep it going and I guarantee you will see a cash cow (for you execs and stockholders) grow in the years to come from a very loyal and grateful fan base.
Please do not cancel this show. It is actually very good. Why don’t you get rid of the crap TV like The Bachelor? Why don’t be a network that plays good TV and not be sucked into the reality crap. Thank you.
