Fans of Pit Bulls & Parolees have something to look forward to this weekend. The series is returning with brand new episodes. Tia Torres and her family are returning for the new season.
Animal Planet shared more about the return in a press release. Check that out below.
“Animal Planet’s award-winning series PIT BULLS & PAROLEES returns with all new episodes featuring Tia Torres and her family as they continue dedicating their lives to the New Orleans-based Villalobos Rescue Center, the largest pit bull rescue center in the country. While each day in the life of dog rescue presents new challenges, Tia pushes through each obstacle with resilience and selflessness, the same way she has for more than two decades. Tia and her family fight to break down barriers and shatter stereotypes by providing a new start at life for pit bulls as well as job opportunities for individuals recently released from prison. Witness these remarkable stories on Animal Planet beginning Saturday, January 4th at 8 PM ET/PT.
In the two-hour season premiere, Tia and the Villalobos team race to move every dog out of the path of Hurricane Barry. Audiences meet a potential adopter searching for a new companion to keep by her side while she undergoes cancer treatment. Tia’s daughter, Mariah, takes on a life-or-death rescue when a Labradoodle escapes to the streets of New Orleans after being attacked in his back yard. Viewers also meet Frank, the first out-of-state parolee hire, who vows to change his ways and make his teenage son proud.
This season’s rescues encompass extreme highs and lows, including tales of redemption and camaraderie. Tia flies into action when she receives a call regarding a crucial rescue for five injured dogs that are victims of an illegal dog fight. Villalobos receives an incredible opportunity when a Pennsylvania prison offers to take more than 20 dogs and provide inmates with the responsibility of preparing the dogs for adoption. Later this season, Animal Planet audiences will witness the long-lasting impact of PIT BULLS & PAROLEES with a ‘Where Are They Now’ special showcasing updates on some of the most memorable parolees who have stepped through the doors of the rescue center, and fan-favorite dogs that found their forever homes.
For more PIT BULLS & PAROLEES action, fans can also head to Animal Planet GO, YouTube, and Facebook to experience an all new mid-form series, Pit Bulls & Parolees: Legendary Dogs, where viewers can stroll down memory lane and look back on all the unforgettable canines that have come through Villalobos in the show’s decade-long history.
All past seasons of the show can be viewed in their entirety by audiences in the U.S. on the Animal Planet GO app.”
What do you think? Are you excited for the return of this series? Will you watch the new season?
My husband and I watch this show faithfully. I love those dogs and I have cried mforeverany times with Tia when she rescues countless Pitties from the streets of Louisiana who are abused, sick and neglected. My heart goes out to these dogs. We would love to adopt every one of them. but we are in our 80’s and live on SS only. The adoption fee is beyond our reach. We just missed out on adoption from our shelter in Erie PA where they waived the fee for adoption but will look at smaller shelters to maybe foster or try… Read more »
My family watch the show every day we can’t wait til the new ones come out. We love what your family and parolees do for all the animals ❤️
I love watching the show. Even the re-runs. I also look forward watching the new series. I am also a dog/ cat lover. Over the years. all were rescues. 2 Doberman, (brother and sister) Schnauzer Shi-Tzu mix, Cocker spaniel, Cairn Terrier, Labrador mix, German Shorthair Pointer Mix, 2 cats, one Himalayan male cat, the other one Tuxedo cat, female. The big ones lived to be 13 years, the small ones 17 and 15 years respectively. The last two really pulled on my heartstrings when I had to let them go. The Lab mix was diagnosed with a heart murmur and… Read more »
