TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Please renew Revolution, even though its been cancelled. It has been cancelled, when there is more issues to deal with. This show could move a bit faster, but if the writers would just deal with the things they left undone in the last episode, the nameless, mindless humans up in the city up north, maybe give us a chance to see rachel and miles really happy, may be even the power back on without issues or some other type of evolution, that allows a healther shade of life. Id like to see a honest poltical system with texas, california, and… Read more »
Renew Revolution…Best tv show of the season. There is no other show that can compare to Revolution. Bring it back in the fall!
Revolution is one of my favorite tv series why on earth would you cancel it? Anytime a series about disasters comes out somebody wants to cancel them. Who cares about all these stupid comedies that keep coming on. We need more shows like revolution not more doctors or cop shows there’s enough of them
My husband and I, along with several friends and family members, watch this show every week!!!! PLEASE don’t take it away!! This is one of the best series ever!! With so much to build on… storyline wise, why on earth would you stop now and leave us all hanging begging for more!!!!
PLEASE YOU CAN’T CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!! I have watched it from the beginning at never miss a show. I want to see how Bass and Monroe get back in control. The smirk on Bass’s face was priceless!! Have to see what he does from here…

Love this show. There are way too many ridiculous comedy and reality shows on tv that go on and on forever. Really, do we need any more singing shows? Then a show like Revolution that makes you think and has substance gets canceled. I don’t know who makes the decisions at the networks for which shows get on the air and which shows stay and get canceled but they need to fire those people and hire people who know what they are doing. It seems that in most cases when a show is moved from one night and/or time slot… Read more »
keep it one of the best shows on tv
RENEW REVOLUTION!!!
It should be renewed.
Should not be canceled. In so tired of this happening. Why not do a short miniseries or TV movie to wrap up shows like this. Give the fans some kind of closure.
Even if the two female leads irritate me, (esp Rachel character) renew it for closure. It is a decent show.
Renew it!!!! Best show out there, I’m sad to c it end I’m a big fan of the show…
This show has a very interesting concept that keeps you interested not only in the storyline and characters, but also in the post-industrial/electric apocalyptic world in which they live/survive as created by Eric Kripke and backed by many other seasoned writers and producers. It seems that the new norm for watching TV is for viewers to become invested in a TV series of substance only to have it cancelled when it seems to be gaining momentum. I continue to believe that the rating system is not properly representing the viewers’ interest in television. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be signing petitions, it… Read more »
