TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
My husband and I love the show and wish you woulf renew. There’s to mamy secondary shows on NBC, why would you drop a great show???? Please renew or some other station pick it up
I am personally tired of “reality” tv. I love Revolution and find it hard to believe that it was not popular enough to be saved. For the first time in years, I missed “Survivor” which was my all-time favorite show. Revolution beat Survivor all over the place. I stayed home on Wednesday nights just to watch it.
I’m 65 years old and have not ever known of anyone participating in “ratings.” If this is the end, you could at least tie up some of the loose ends.
Great show, what a shame.
leave it to nbc, they never worry about the viewer getting a ending to a show, all they worry about is money and how much it makes,if I was a regular sponsor of a show,i wouldn’t advertise on a station unless if the show ended,it have a conclusion, now its back to cbs and survivor.
revolution is my favorite show and I look forward to it every week.
I thank it should be renewed
Please renew, Love this show.
So depressed. We looked forward to watching every week. PLEASE bring it back. Maybe some other network could pick it up?
Please renew. The finale did not answer any questions.
My entire family and many friends were really disappointed that Revolution was cancelled as we looked forward to it every week. We liked the story and the acting was great. We always discussed it after watching. It seems like its difficult to get involved in a good show wihout a proper ending which has happened many times inthe past. Instead we get 5 or 6 of the same type of shows. The last show left everything in limbo. We vote to save Revolution and give it a proper finale.
My daughter and I have watched every episode since it’s beginning and I was an extra in an episode. It keeps us guessing and discussing what could happen next. We discuss human nature and the world because of this show. Please renew this show!!!!!!!!!
Please bring Revolution back! It is my favorite show. I love the characters and the situation. We record most programs and watch them later and this is the one I always want to see first. There is so much more that could be done/explored with this story, please reconsider.
I really like Revolution. I certainly hope that another network picks it up.
It is a really great show and this is from someone who does not watch much TV at all.
Donna
Renew! This show had more of a story to tell. I don’t understand why it was cancelled. The series finale left me feeling like it should continue – or at least end a tv mini movie!
J.J., please pitch this to TNT.
