TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I think I will start reading books and quit watching tv. They cancel the good shows I like and keep showing useless garbage reality shows. I would hope that another station like fx, etc would pick it up. So much garbage on tv and the morons cancel the good showsl
Please renew for another year. I’m tired of watching shows that get canceled, just when I get involved in the story and it’s people.
Why is it when we get a good TV show on the air that keeps you on the edge of your seat and you can’t wait for the next week show to what happens it’s cancelled. The actors were great it was not a dirty show.A lot of people that work had to watch it on their computer, but they didn’t miss it.Ever one i know is very up set about this some people who or elderly seniors , college students, grandparents, and a lot of people all over the country, i know this because we are all talking and still can believe… Read more »
I do not watch tv because of the worthless reality, comedy, and cop shows. I like a show that takes me away from the real world. Work is hard enough as it is, and I need a show that thinks out of the box. Today everyone wants to live in the same type of grey house and drive the same type of small car. I am so thankful that I am old school. Television executives and writers have lost their ability to be original or they just do not want to be. The fall line up is terrible, and the… Read more »
I agree with you 100 percent!!!!!
The show should continue on, much to soon to end!
Like Firefly. Another great series cancelled because it didn’t to the masses who
watch mindless reality shows. Here you have a series with good writers. Good actors and an interesting plot.
Oscar – maybe that is why they cancelled it!!! In the last episode the Prez of the patriots stated,” Americans want security”. They are compliant. …. The show does make you think about how we would survive a catastrophe ? It challenges us to really think and look at the world.
I Would like to see it Renewed, or at least write an ending instead of leaving it hanging!
I love this show and should not be canceled please bring back the show
Renew it for 1 more season please
KEEP REVOLUTION! We have enough phony reality shows and cop shows we
want some good entertainment that makes us think about what could happen if
the wrong people get in control (sort of like now)…..
I am so upset that NBC chose to cancel this show; it was one of my favorites. I’m also not impressed with the series finale!! Far too many questions were left unanswered; it was very unsatisfactory! I beg NBC to at least do a two hour movie to tie up all the loose ends if your are not going to renew the show. YOU OWE IT’S LOYAL FANS BETTER!!!!!
My husband and I love the show and wish you would renew. There’s to mamy secondary shows on NBC, why would you drop a great show???? Please renew or some other station pick it up!!!!
It should be renewed
Can’t believe that this show is going off the air! It has been so refreshing to actually watch a show with a story instead off all the reality **** and cop shows on Tv today. Just when you think that they have finally put something on you can enjoy they pull it out from under us. NBC sucks for pulling this show.
