TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I love this 🙁 definitely should be renewed and more series
big mistake ending it this way at least close it correctly in the next run.
If you are a “Revolution” fan contact NBC and make your voice heard!
Revolution is one of the better shows on TV. Stupid move to cancel it.
We won’t watch a stupid reality show or talk show replacement.
Management decisions of the networks are out if touch
With what people want to watch on TV.
The ending was a typical “J.J. “…remember “LOST?” You run a show for 3-4 months and than you want the viewers to wait 9 months to see what happens!!! poor, poor writing, good acting…but you doomed the show when you added J.J. to the mix.
the finale sucked i hope another channel picks the series up again.
Revolution is the best show on TV. I am so sick to hear that is was cancelled. NBC don’t know what they are doing. They had a great line up of shows and just because viewers in New York and those states didn’t like it they cancelled the show. I know how this works because I do programming at a broadcasting station and all the status comes from places like New York, and New Hampshire. I love this show and it is a shame.
I really think networks make huge mistakes with their lack of patience, moving shows around, always pre-empting shows with their stupid award shows, sporting events. This was a high quality show with great acting and a compelling story
I may only catch Revolution on Demand, but NBC, it is a great show and you really should renew it for a third season.
This show should not be canceled!
I’m in Canada Easrern time I can’t fing it well I guess I’m to to rewatched it recorded it!
******* pricks how can you do this it was a top series
Big mistake to cancel. Great show with lots of plot twists and character turns. Don’t understand why NBC cancelled it … unless of course, the powers that be intend to make a mess of the NBC entertainment network like they have to the MSNBC news channel.
Revolution went off the rails a year ago and never got back on. The “plot” became twisted, confused, idiotic, boring and uninteresting. Too many characters and factions to keep track of. What about the Tower? What about those medallions? The whole show lost focus and the whole thing became ridiculous. In recent years there have been many so-called Sci-Fi shows cancelled without resolution: NBC isn’t alone, as CBS (Jericho) and ABC (Flash Forward) did the same. I’m done with serialized shows on TV – unless there’s either a real finale in the can, or a commitment from the network to… Read more »
This may be working. NBC is showing a repeat of the season 2 finale at 8 pm eastern time May 25 TONIGHT. We are going to try to trend a new phrase. I will have to try to download the pic with the info. Spread the word! When did NBC ever show #Revolution two times in a week here in the States?

I am so going to watch it again. I will every chance it is on, I will watch it. The best show ever.
I do not see it listed on my TV listings for Central shows. Why? I was so excited to see it again. Darn. Thought I was going to watch, but not when I can not find it. I will have to keep looking every hour on my TV for it.
Me too! I was in Target today and they had season 1 fir 14.99. That’s 30.00 off the regular cost. Sad to see they were discounting so soon but glad I got it for that price. The cashier looked at the box and said “This is suppose to be really good” I told her it was and about it being on tonight. She said she loved the walking dead. I told her a little about the ending and the nanozombies. She said good everything I love in one show. Really hoping it comes back. My channel shows “to be announced… Read more »
I better get to Target. Thanks. It is not airing in Iowa. What a disappointment.
A huge mistake on my part. It was a organized plan to watch it on NBC.COM at 8 pm and try to trend. Was a lot on twitter but I don’t think it trended. The petition is now over 25,000 and still growing. Fingers crossed we get a season 3. I really want to see Nanozombies.
I do not understand the Twitting stuff. Did it once for this on Wed. I would have watched on NBC.com if I knew. Oh will, let’s just hope somebody will pick it up. They brought back Under the Dome and it is not as good as Revolution, so we can just hope.
