TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Bring it back.
This is the only show that I watch weekly.
This was the best show on NBC.
The cast and the writers are great.
They did an awesome job.
Please don’t cancel. We love that show.
Absolutely love the show and severely disappointed that it was cancelled. Stupid move by the network. One more reason to watch CBS!

Why the hell would you cancel the best show on tv. We need closure all the best program’s finish and why???? Why ???!! No !!!
i think that at the very least the network should do a 2 hour final “wrap it up ” show and give the series closure. i think they owe that to the faithful fans that stuck with it.
I found it hard to believe that they cancelled this show. As a family we had really gotten invested in this show and will certainly miss it. I really wish they would bring this show back.
loved it but the been counters are in control, so this show go’s the way of the dodo
Please, Please, Please, bring back Revolution. It’s one of the few shows that my husband and I watched together. How can you cancel a show that has so many loose ties?
The canceling of a great show like Revolution has once again put a spotlight on a networks lack of respect for the millions of people that tune in to watch shows like this. You invest time into a show like this, and it is canceled because a small group of network executives decides the viewers don’t matter? Disappointing does not begin to describe my thoughts about this network decision. Let us be frank to NBC….boycott watching NBC. I prefer CBS programming anyway. If hey honestly don’t care about their fans we should show them what happens when they loose the… Read more »
Better than boycotting NBC – write to their advertisers instead.
Bring back Revolution! I do find it interesting that Elizabeth Mitchell was on Lost; V; and now Revolution. One of the best shows.on TV!!!
AM very unhappy with the announced cancellation of “Revolution”. My favorite show on any network for two years. HOPING NBC will reconsider, and renew theh show.
To add to one of the above viewers comments about why the show was cancelled… It IS about the almighty dollar. I’m from Philly, where Comcast rules all. Those who don’t know, Comcast owns NBC. And just to put in perspective, they Executive VP (David L. Cohen) of Comcast was “compensated” $13+ mil in 2013. Maybe if these dbags didn’t pay themselves so much money, like his 7 figure bonus(es) then the shows could actually make the money and have the money to keep funding future episodes for its loyal viewers. This is the umpteenth show that NBC has cancelled… Read more »
Seems like every time NBC gets a good series they cancel it before the story comes to an end.
I love the show! Bring it back! Don’t let it end this way!
