The old world meets the new in NBC’s new comedy. According to Variety, the network has ordered a pilot from comedian Sebastian Maniscalco titled Sebastian.
The series joins several other comedy pilot orders from NBC that include Me & Mean Margaret and a father-son comedy from Vladimir Caamano.
From Maniscalco and Austen Earl, Sebastian will chronicle the title character (played by Maniscalco) as he tries to maintain his traditional Italian values in the face of his new wife, family, and the modern world.
The Millers creator Greg Garcia is set to executive produce.

My family and I watch him all the time!!!! His Italian comedy never gets old with us, we can’t stop laughing at the commonality Italians share…. too funny!!!

I would definitely watch his sitcom. I have been a fan for years. No one tells it like it is like Sebastian. I’ve seen him in person many times, and I just can’t get enough. While I am at work, I listen to his routines. People wonder why I am laughing to myself. Yes, please make this a series.

I had literally not laughed in two years after my son Tyler died at age 30. A friend of mine posted the “Company” clip. Only after several minutes of unadulterated laughter did I realize I hadn’t laughed since his death. My son Tyler was hysterical and could keep me roaring indefinitely. I like to think Sebastian was sent to me on purpose so Tyler could hear me laugh from heaven. Get this done. It’s already awesome!
