GSN, The Game Show Network, has acquired the rights to air the seven episodes of the short-lived game show Show Me the Money.
The ABC game show was part of the 2006 – 2007 season and was a trivia contest hosted by Star Trek’s William Shatner and a slew of female “Million-dollar Dancers.” The series was a quick hit back in November 2006 and the network ordered additional episodes. Unfortunately, the ratings fell soonafter, production was halted, and the show was pulled from the schedule. It was thought that the network might burn off the unaired episodes during the season but it never happened.
Now, the GSN cable channel will air all episodes of Show Me the Money on Tuesday nights at 8pm beginning June 12th. The seven episode run will include two episodes that never made it to air on ABC. They’ll be broadcast on July 17th and 24th.
Though the episodes are few in number, GSN is glad to have them. GSN’s Senior VP of Programming Jamie Roberts said, “Show Me the Money is the perfect marriage of a game show and a variety show. We think our viewers will enjoy this winning combination.”
