There won’t be a third season for the Sirens comedy series on USA Network. The cable channel has cancelled the series after two seasons on the air.
Sirens follows the lives of EMT’s who work for the Eminent Ambulance Company in Chicago. They’re great at saving people’s lives but terrible at running their own. The cast includes Michael Mosley, Kevin Daniels, Kevin Bigley, Jessica McNamee, Bill Nunn, and Josh Segarra.
The show debuted in March of 2014 and the first season ended up averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.13 million viewers. The second season dropped 23-34% in the ratings, averaging a 0.34 rating with 740,000 viewers.
According to Deadline, the low ratings played a big role in the decision to cancel the series, as did the fact that Sirens is not owned by USA.
The last episode of Sirens aired last week — on Tuesday, April 14th.
What do you think? Do you like the Sirens TV show? Do you think that it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season? Would you watch it elsewhere?
Hope another network picks it up, or even make it a Web series.
This is the funniest show on TV right now. Should not have been cancelled. I would watch wherever I could. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!
Nooooooooooooooo! I would definitely watch this show wherever I can get it. Not only were the first 2 seasons hilarious, ems is literally never ending gold mine for writers.
Keep the show! Come on netflix
This show is one of the funniest shows on TV with a great cast of characters. Don’t let it go!
Noooooooooo I really like this show. Every single episodes made me laugh. I find the characters to be quite unique.
Please don’t cancel this show. Maybe TBS or Netflix can pick it up. They did that with cougar town and it did well. My husband and I love this show. Please don’t let it disappear!
I thought someone was messing with my set recordings…this is sad because it was the one program I looked forward to watching every week. I agree, if the show were correctly marketed, there would be so many more fans! I only started because Kevin’s mom (Bigley) sold it…I became an instant fan on the first episode. Boo for pulling it!
You guys are idiots. Killing one of the most hilarious comedies in years. Your station is going down the tube and hiring the new person to direct what goes and what doesn’t is an idiot too. I can not belive you guys. You’ll at ###-# Law and Order all darn day or SUV too. You.guys need to with times because you letting your viewers down and changing the channel. We are the Baby boomers any more. Get with the times. Oh wait. I guess the ones making the calls are the baby loosers. Hope your station looses a lot of… Read more »
AGREE FIGHT IT!!
My adult children and I really enjoyed this show. With so many networks and so many shows I feel great shows get cancelled because the people that really like them don’t ever hear about them. this was the case when I introduced my kids to Sirens and they loved it. Hoping someone else picks it up.
This sucks the show is awesome now just got to hope Netflix or maybe another station picks it up
NO!!! Fantastic show! Very funny show and the chemistry between the characters is so believable. You feel like they are really friends and family. I hope Netflix picks it up!
Really?!?! I hate when great shows like this get cancelled, but dumb shows like Nashville continue to be aired. It’s sad that this one will be gone.
Such a funny show! This p*sses me off. I hope Netflix picks it up!
Great and funny show, The chemestry between the cast was exceptional, when you watched Sirens, you felt as if they were your close friends or even family, this show was not plugged enough by the network. Now, trashy reality shows are left alone and quality shows like sirens are given the boot, I sure hope they will reconsider the cancellation of that great comedy-one of the last worth watching.
