So You Think You Can Dance has not yet been officially renewed for a new season by FOX, but the chances of a return for the dance competition series are looking really good. The series is now looking for contestants!
FOX put out a casting call on their website for those interested in trying out for the series to send in their videos and digital entries. In-person auditions and the cities they will occur in have not been announced yet.
This will be season 17 for So You Think You Can Dance. The announcement from FOX is below:
“This season, potential contestants may audition online by registering here and uploading a video or providing a link to a video of their performance. If selected from the video/link auditions by the producers, the producers will contact the potential contestant to schedule an in-person audition. In addition to the digital submissions, a potential contestant also may audition in person. Auditions cities and details will be announced soon!”

Yes, please ! I look forward to this show every year. I also wish they would go back to using more dancers, ie the top 24. I live the pros. Maybe use them more at the end of the show when there are only 6 dancers left. And use them in the group dances alk the way through. But whatever happens I’ll be watching. Being a competition dancer in the late 70’s, I love the rawness of the dancers that compete for a spot on the show. Please don’t cancel it.

I love SYTYCD! It has just the right amount of hilarity at the beginning but really gets serious toward the end when it needs to. I think about the many careers this show has launched for dancers AND choreographers! Nigel Lithgow is innovatively amazing! I will watch this show for any and all seasons.

Absolutely! This far outshines DWTS! Very professionally done with constructive feedback from the judges. Did not like the young male judge of last season.

I have been watching religiously and going to the shows…please continue. It is one of the few positive and inspiring shows left on tv.

This is my favorite show of any season of any channel. Dance is spectacular and this show has the best talent of any singing or dancing show. Come back and never go
