At one time, TV Land was known for producing original multi-camera sitcoms with stars of old sitcoms. Those have either ended or been cancelled and it looks like season five of The Soul Man is the end of that era. How will this sitcom do in the ratings in its final run? Should TV Land have ordered a sixth season? Stay tuned.
On The Soul Man, former Las Vegas singer Boyce Ballantine (Cedric the Entertainer) continues his new life as a minister in his father’s St. Louis church. The rest of the cast includes Niecy Nash, John Beasley, Wesley Jonathan, and Missi Pyle.

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you like The Soul Man TV show? Do you think it should have been renewed for a sixth season?
Yes I think the show should go to season 6. I look forward to watching it on Hulu. Plus it was the only black show out there.
