The story of the young “star-crossed” lovers is coming to a close. The CW has cancelled Star-Crossed after one season of 13 episodes.
Star-Crossed revolves around a pair of teens — one human (Aimee Teegarden) and one alien (Matt Lanter) — who fall in love and struggle to overcome the discrimination and distrust around them. The rest of the cast includes Grey Damon, Natalie Hall, Malese Jow, Titus Makin Jr., Chelsea Gilligan, Brina Palencia, and Greg Finley.
The series debuted as a mid-season replacement and never took hold in the ratings. The premiere drew a lackluster 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo with 1.28 million viewers. Subsequent episodes performed even worse, making Star-Crossed one of the network’s lowest-rated shows.
There are just 13 episodes in the season and the finale, titled “Passion Lends Them Power,” will air next Monday night.

It’s a great program!! Why are they stopping it? I hear almost nothing but good comments about it. It’s just a really great series.

Crazy decision. I watch in the UK and love the show as does my wife. Really well thought out story lines without being too intricate or unreasonable and they cancel after one series? I guess the reality TV shows are much more important!

I seriously can’t believe that this programme has been ditched. It was amazing to say the least and there are still so many unanswered questions. 42 years old woman here is very disappointed! 🙁
It is extremely sad to get rid of a show that was actually great. .! Instead of putting on these reality shows that waste air space.that’s why I have direct tv.. the reason you have low ratings is the closed minded pencil pushers you have on payroll.. good luck to your horrible ideas..I hope cable picks it up. .Ray from Ca..

I am so distraught with the season finale and sitting in tears knowing theres no season two….one of the best programmes thats been on tv in a while cant believe it got cancelled!! we NEED A SEASON 2!!!!!!!
