What’s in store for the new Star Trek: Discovery? According to TrekToday, fans can expect to see Harcourt Fenton Mudd in the upcoming CBS All Access TV series.
Mudd, a con artist living in the 23rd century, first appeared in the original Star Trek series and subsequently made a cameo on Star Trek: The Animated Series. Both times the character was played by Roger C. Carmel.
According to TrekToday, Mudd will be a recurring character on Star Trek: Discovery. The role will be taken over by The Office‘s Rainn Wilson and the fan favorite character will reportedly appear in more than half of the season.
Although, when season one will premiere isn’t exactly clear. CBS All Access has released a first look trailer for Star Trek: Discovery, but the show’s premiere date has yet to be announced. Earlier reports suggest it will launch sometime this fall.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Star Trek? Are you looking forward to seeing more Harry Mudd?
One story line for the whole season……I thought there would be 15 different story lines, but nope,…..only one!!!
I am a Star Trek fan. I like all of them, but The Next Generation is my favorite.
I am a huge Star Trek Original series fan, and I love the new movies with Chris Pine and the fine cast of them, but I reserve judgement on this series. I will watch the firs episode for sure, but there is no guarantee it is a winner!! Shatner, Nimoy, and company are hard to beat. I do hope it will be good, but truthfully the trailer did not impress me.
Yes I am very much looking forward to the new Star Trek TV series. Mudd was one of my favorite characters from the original series. And Rain Wilson was great in two of the Next Generation episodes. Can’t wait for the release date.
I think Mudd’s character was very good when combined with the presence of Mudd’s Girls.
