MTV didn’t have much luck in the ratings with their Mary + Jane series. Will the cable channel do any better with another female comedy, the new Sweet/Vicious series? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
An “offbeat superhero story for the millennial generation,” the Sweet/Vicious TV show revolves around two female college students who secretly act as wannabe vigilantes. The pair never felt like they belonged and find a home in each other while trying to kick a lot of ass. The MTV cast includes Eliza Bennett, Taylor Dearden, Nick Fink, Dylan McTee, Brandon Mychal Smith, and Aisha Dee.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

What do you think? Do you like the Sweet/Vicious TV series on MTV? Should the show be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
4/28 update: MTV has cancelled Sweet/Vicious after one season. Details here.
RENEW SWEET VICIOUS
This is literally my favorite show of all time now. There always needs to be more badass representation of women, especially ***** women. :))) I definitely hope it will get renewed for a 2nd season.
I really like this show especially with that’s been going on these college campuses
Im a guy i watch this show with my sisters ever week and i like the show should be renewed most def. Most people that don’t like the show don’t like it cause the main characters are women
I hope beyond all hope that this show gets cancelled. If there was a male version of this show women would be up in arms. I can’t begin to describe how sexist and hateful this show is.
this is a show about a girl that gets raped, if the roles were reversed and a male was raped, why would it be any different. nobody deserves to get away with that.
They beat up girls in one episode, there are multiple male characters who are portrayed in a positive light, the main girls have zero hatred/bias towards men specifically, and the creators talked about possibly including male victims in season 2. So no, it isn’t sexist.
I really enjoy watching this show as it is full of female empoweent and the idea that the awareness of rape crimes should be heard of and punished.
This has got to be the most empowering show on television I’ve ever seen. Please do not cancel this. It gives people reassurance that there are always people out there who care and want to help!
This show represents more than just empowerment. It gives people hope that it will get better. Things that happen in the show, happen every day. It allows people to feel justice. The show should most definitely continue.
This show really presents an issue that is a big problem today and I really like that. At the same time it’s funny and I love the characters. There should definitely be a season 2.
I definitely think it should come back for a second season. Yes it is somewhat violent and the language is a little out there but its a show. It’s supposed to entertain people. Also, the message that is sending is that rape does happen and people yes both males & females need to report it. For those who don’t like it well everyone is different give it a chance.
Wow, from reading the previous comments, it’s SUPER obvious the only people that want it cancelled are men. Which proves how ass backwards and sexist this countryi is…. it’s disgusting. These men obviously hate it because it shines light on campus violence and the rape culture that exists there. But so many men look at women as objects and don’t want a show to shine light on these issues because they want it to keep happening… THINK about it- if 1 in 4 women have been sexually assaulted, how many MEN commit sexual assault? TOO MANY. And that’s why THEY… Read more »
More bs feminist propaganda. Perpetuating the false rape culture on college campus lie. if 1 in 4 women were raped on campus those stats would be worse than in prison and countries in Africa where rape is used as a weapon.
Rape is used as a weapon everywhere not just in foreign countries. Its people like you that don’t think this kinda stuff happens are the ones who think it’s okay. You’re taking away someone’s life and their freedom of feeling safe.
My God. These ratings are awful. If this show gets renewed I’ll be shocked. What a loser show. It may have a good message, but if MTV wants to make money they need to get rid of this show and try to find a winner.
I love this show. If you don’t like it don’t watch it. They’re doing an awesome thing. It’s violent becasue they’re making sure the people they’re going after know what they’re victim felt like.
” If you don’t like it don’t watch it. ”
I think that’s exactly what’s happening: people don’t like it, (explaining the 34% drop from the demo), and they aren’t watching it. If you want a second season, you should be telling people to watch it even if they don’t like it.
This show needs to be cancelled. It is too violent, the language is not suitable for television, and it has too many implications to sex. All of you need to stop watching this so it gets cancelled.
The show is violent, yes, but portrays a very important message and is working toward fighting the stigma on sexual assault. This is the type of show we need in this day and age.
This is MTV bro it’s not going to be all flowers and sunshine.
There are many more worse TV shows that are much more violent than a few stab wounds and show actual sex rather than just implications of it. Of course sex is implicated as it is facing an extremely serious issue about rape victims and how they cope. Just because you may not understand the purpose of this show doesn’t mean others won’t notice the hope and good message this show is spreading to those people that have actually had to cope with assaults like this.
It’s a show about rape. That is a violent sexual assault. The title itself said *vicious. I don’t watch nascar and complain about the speeding. (I DON’T watch Nascar, just an example) Maybe you should choose a different genre if this is too much for you. Personal choice 🙂
So, I guess rape isn’t violent and the reality of the numbers of female students being raped on campuses should just be ignored in your opinion? Wow…just amazing.
