Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

This is such a shame that this GREAT program THE COOL KIDS was canceled!!! Why would you cancel this show and renew stupid programs!!! This was a wonderful program for older people like myself. PLEASE BRING BACK THE THE COOL KIDS FOR SEASON 2!!!!
YES! Iwill watch season 2 . Cryed after hearing thf cool kids are going off. At 60 I found a show we older people can LOVE
I loved the Cool Kids and made sure I recorded it on my DVR so I wouldnt miss a show, it was funny, entertaining and was a feel good show. I think they pulled the plug way to early and didnt give it a chance. This was a show the whole family could watch and it’s a shame it was cancelled.

I love love love The Cool Kids! I feel like I’d be one of them! It was about time for a refreshing look at baby boomer life on screen! The funniest since Golden Girls! Give these 4, Hank, Margret, Sid, and Charlie another season to prove how great they really are, and how much we love them! Seinfeld wasn’t popular the first season either…just sayin.

I hope they find heart to renew this show. Rating might have not been in line with those on top but characters and story were endearing enough looking foward to each episode among all the Walking Dead, scandals, and super hero type shows.
Please bring The Cool Kids back!!!! My husband and I watched it every week!! We have no shows to watch….everything is sex, drugs, nudity, and reality tv. The Last Man Standing and The Cool Kids were all we had!!!!

I’m PISSED they canceled Cool Kids! My fiancé and I LOVE the show and watched it every week! Just like stupid Fox to make a dumbass move like this! If they had just given it a chance, maybe more marketing, it’d have improved its ratings. MANY shows have started off roughly, only to become smash hits! SHAME ON YOU, FOX!
I loved this show. It was very funny and the actors were on point. It is hard to invest in a show and its characters when the network doesn’t even give it a chance. People were just beginning to hear about it through word of mouth. There are a lot of Baby Boomers out there. It gave a new perpective of aging in general. I showed how being a senior can be so much fun. Shame on you for canceling it.
I agree completely. Growing older is a new stage in life, and this show was showing how much fun life is at this new stage.
