The Detail is off the case. According to star Shenae Beech, CTV has cancelled the TV show after only one season.
The police procedural stars Beech, Angela Griffin, and Wendy Crewson as a group of female homicide detectives working in Canada. The cast also includes David Cubitt, Ben Bass, and Matt Gordon.
On Twitter, Beech revealed The Detail will not be returning for a second season. The U.S. network ION picked up season one last year but has yet to air the series.

It was fantastic as most people agree.
I liked Scott + Bailey so it makes sense that I liked this show too. Why cancel such a strong female driven show which was a breath of fresh air…oh let me guess…the powers that be Men!
What’s the use of watching any tv shows…We like it and it’s cancelled… What does it take a 10/10 all the time, bull…
Typical, a good show comes out and it gets cancelled but the garbage shows stay.

So disappointed that they canceled this show. At least let it go a bit then write it off but to waste our time watching and getting into a great show is very frustrating. All Tv net works need to stop doing this!

I am so disappointed the detail is not returning. One of the few tv shows I looked forward to watching e very week. Ctv should rethink this one.
I can’t believe it. One of the best shows to have come out of Canada EVER and it only gets one season? Some bad ass detectives who just happen to be female with many interesting layers to their personalities, but is not a chuck flick. Yet you keep some of the other crap that is aired night after night. Shame on you! I can only hope some other network will see the error of ION’s ways and pick it up.

really this is so sad i have been waiting how long to get the second season this tv series is very interesting and educational it teaches a lot to us as young people. I am really loving this movie i can’t believe at all. I wish a second series could be released.
