A new season of The Doctors is coming soon but it will have a very different look. The thirteenth season of the syndicated series will premiere in September with a new studio, new format, and a new host.
Dr. Ian Smith is taking charge of the series and previous hosts Sonia Batra, Judy Ho, Nita Landry, Andrew Ordon, and Travis Stork will not be returning. This season will have the focus of helping people deal with the times we’re living in at the moment.
More about season 13 of the daytime series was revealed in a press release.
“The Emmy Award-winning series THE DOCTORS today announces it will debut a new format and host when it premieres its 13th season on September 21. THE DOCTORS will begin production this month and will feature a new, modern East Coast studio. THE DOCTORS is produced by Stage 29 Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Jay McGraw, Carla Pennington, Patricia Ciano and Dr. Phillip C. McGraw are executive producers.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Doctors? Will you watch the new season of this syndicated series next month? Will you miss the previous hosts?
I do not like the new format. It did not hold my interest. It lacked the entertainment I enjoyed watching while it being informative. You lost another viewer.
I do not like the new format of the Doctors. The original Show “The Doctors” was a much more likeable format with the 3 doctors bantering while sharing very important medical information. I will not be watching the new show. It was a great 12 years, why do you want to change it now. The information I gathered was so helpful, I used to write some of the suggestions down on paper to use as reference. Bring back the old version.
I like Dr Smith. He is knowledgeable and has a pleasing appearance and voice. My opinion is he should’ve been added to the panel and not replaced them. It’s quite a bit more interesting and entertaining to hear the comraderie and banter. Dr Ian should definitely stay but add the others back to keep it fun and light in these trying times
Why would you mess with a good t.v. show? It was so enjoyable watching our favorite doctors. I think you are making a big mistake. This was a show where you learned many things and the host doctors were like old friends. Won’t be watching any more. Hope you come to your senses.
The new format and host are a great disappointment! The previous hosts banter was both informative and entertaining. I wanted to see how the doctors would address the new reality. The new host is too clinical and boring. He would be more suited to doing a 5 minute specialty news segment. Tried to watch but changed the channel and won’t be back.
The Doctors is too dull with only one person who reads the medical news.
Msss all our old doctors!
It is too late to give CVID info. This should have been done 6 months ago. I’ll get more work done as I will not stop to watch the show.
I watched the new format of The Doctor’s today and I must say, I did not care for the show. Probably will not watch it again. I really enjoyed it with the previous host doctors.
I liked the old format but after watching today it will be my last time.
I will MISS the ORIGINAL…’PLEASE’ bring the original DOCTORS back ASAP!!!
I believe the new season will be very informative and helpful, but I will miss the Hosts that were there before. Good luck on your new season !
I will not be watching the new drs without my favorite drs. I would watch them over any other program. So long
I, also, will not be watching anymore of the new format. I do not feel the show was aimed at a general audience, but rather was directed to an audience of the same color as the new host. This is not appealing to me
Won’t be watching it anymore. Seen the first episode and it was boring. No excitement at all. Good bye.
Well it looks like I will be getting more work done in the afternoon with out taking a break for one of my favorite shows, The Doctors. Do not care for the new formate. Bye, more work in the afternoon
I so miss the cast of the Dr;s TV show. What a mistake to change the format. I will not be watching. I can’t believe you would change what was a winning interesting program,. I recorded it every day for years and years. I will not be watching or recording starting today.
