A new season of The Doctors is coming soon but it will have a very different look. The thirteenth season of the syndicated series will premiere in September with a new studio, new format, and a new host.
Dr. Ian Smith is taking charge of the series and previous hosts Sonia Batra, Judy Ho, Nita Landry, Andrew Ordon, and Travis Stork will not be returning. This season will have the focus of helping people deal with the times we’re living in at the moment.
More about season 13 of the daytime series was revealed in a press release.
“The Emmy Award-winning series THE DOCTORS today announces it will debut a new format and host when it premieres its 13th season on September 21. Dr. Ian Smith, best-selling author and trusted medical expert, steps in as host as the series moves to a new state-of-the-art studio to deliver even more timely and reliable breaking medical news and trusted information.
THE DOCTORS will launch the theme “Take Your Power Back,” designed to empower viewers to break through the fear and uncertainty of current times. The season-long series will provide ongoing tips and solutions to get Americans into fighting shape physically, mentally and emotionally.
“This is an unprecedented time, and people are looking for the latest in updates delivered in an easy to understand format, and THE DOCTORS is the perfect place to help us all take control of our lives,” said Dr. Ian Smith. “Helping people learn how to be the best versions of themselves is a personal passion of mine, and I am excited to bring viewers unbiased information and facts, free of any political slant, to help them take their power back.”

THE DOCTORS will begin production this month and will feature a new, modern East Coast studio. THE DOCTORS is produced by Stage 29 Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Jay McGraw, Carla Pennington, Patricia Ciano and Dr. Phillip C. McGraw are executive producers.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Doctors? Will you watch the new season of this syndicated series next month? Will you miss the previous hosts?
I will not be watching the new format with Dr. Smith. It is just plain boring.
Looked forward every morning to watch The Doctors. So disappointed.
I will NOT be watching The Doctors any longer. I do Not like the new host or the goofy guest Drs. CBS shot themselves in the foot with this un-needed change. Adios for good.

I really don’t like it. As they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The original show was more entertaining and informative. With more than one host, they were able to toss around opinions and suggestions.
It’s new format seems more like a boring encyclopedia.
One dr standing on stage and just talking to people, extremely boring.
I miss the old show. BRING IT BACK PLEASE
I WILL NOT WATCH THE NEW SHOW!!
I do not like it at all. I loved the camaraderie that the drs had with each other. They were great and could give more insight to issues of health . I will not watch without Travis , he added so much to the show. This is just too stark and medical . You lost a viewer, though I know somethings have to change because of covid .
I miss the original doctors. I am not so interested in the new one. Probably will not watch it as faithfully as before.
I do NOT like the new show, its boring.
Bring back the original cast their the ones that made the show.. the new show feels like a news channel…..full
Probably won’t watch as often. Not often at all. Bring back the original. Lost interest in the first 5 minutes.
DO NOT LIKE the new format!! Want the doctors back …..
They were very informative & added a little fun to their presentation. BRING THEM BACK!!!!!
Just another news type show which will give more Covid info which we already have an over abundance. I won’t be watching. There is more to learn on other subjects like the previous format fulfilled plus the show was entertaining. I predict low ratings.
No. Enjoyed other format and doctors. Dr Ian good but bring back other cast
Dr. Ian is great but I don’t think I’ll be watching. I will miss the other hosts, but it’s to much focus on a subject beat to death by other news and information stations.
Best of luck on the new format
Day 2 and I am already bored. I will watch the rest of this week before deciding to continue watching or not. Some Of today’s information was welcome but Some was presented to fast. Fast talkers are difficult to follow.
It seems obvious why there is such a radical change in the format. However, time will tell.
Do not like the new format. I have to wonder what’s going on when there’s no warning or announcement of any kind. I won’t be watching anymore. The other doctors were very compatible with each other and were very comfortable in front of the camera. So disappointed. Loved the old cast and the consulting docs as well.
I also do not like the new format! I thought I had the wrong channel! I always looked forward to my Doctors we have had too many life changes, I learned so very much from and also enjoyed all The Doctors who were on the show! CBS has made a big mistake I will find something else to do for that hour!! You have lost me Goodbye!!!
No, I do not like the change. There was nothing wrong with the doctors on the show. If you wanted to add Ian to the cast of Doctors they should have done that, But get rid of them. NO!
I do not like it. I will not watch. Watched the other hosts everyday and loved them.
