A new season of The Doctors is coming soon but it will have a very different look. The thirteenth season of the syndicated series will premiere in September with a new studio, new format, and a new host.
Dr. Ian Smith is taking charge of the series and previous hosts Sonia Batra, Judy Ho, Nita Landry, Andrew Ordon, and Travis Stork will not be returning. This season will have the focus of helping people deal with the times we’re living in at the moment.
More about season 13 of the daytime series was revealed in a press release.

THE DOCTORS will launch the theme “Take Your Power Back,” designed to empower viewers to break through the fear and uncertainty of current times. The season-long series will provide ongoing tips and solutions to get Americans into fighting shape physically, mentally and emotionally.
“This is an unprecedented time, and people are looking for the latest in updates delivered in an easy to understand format, and THE DOCTORS is the perfect place to help us all take control of our lives,” said Dr. Ian Smith. “Helping people learn how to be the best versions of themselves is a personal passion of mine, and I am excited to bring viewers unbiased information and facts, free of any political slant, to help them take their power back.”

THE DOCTORS will begin production this month and will feature a new, modern East Coast studio. THE DOCTORS is produced by Stage 29 Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Jay McGraw, Carla Pennington, Patricia Ciano and Dr. Phillip C. McGraw are executive producers.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Doctors? Will you watch the new season of this syndicated series next month? Will you miss the previous hosts?
I like the original hosts and format.
I am a mature woman who has enjoyed watching The Doctors Show for many years and also got a kick watching the banter among the doctors. This was an educational, entertaining and informative show referencing current events, as well as medical problems. The new show is a poor replacement which, in my opinion, will be poorly received. At one time I planned to be a member of the audience, now don’t have to be concerned about this once Covid is over. No, I am not impressed with this new show, format or Dr. Ian, who seems himself not to be… Read more »
BIG MISTAKE!!! I think this was a mistake changing the show, although I’m sure it was a financial decision YOU NOW PAY FOR ONE HOST INSTEAD OF FOUR. The doctor hosts not only provided medical information but also let the watching audience see that they are just like us with their own personalities and that’s what people identify with. The new show has one host and some guests and it’s all very serious which is informative but you also have to have a little humor to make things interesting and that’s what the other four doctors gave us.
I was pleasantly surprised with the new host and fornat for the Doctors TV show. I definitely will be watching the show.
I don’t care for the new format. The team as a group, their interaction along with trusted medical information made this my favorite show. It falls flat now. Time to find another program
Wasn’t broken, why try to “fix” it. All I can say now is “boooo”!
I am not interested in the new show . It is boring. The original Doctors made it fun but also kept us up to date on medical issues without being a bore. bring the others doctors back
I was so surprised to see my favorite informative nighttime show wiped out. I miss the conversation between the hosts? Couldn’t u find more than one dark-skinned doctor to host? The same thing happened to Dancing with the Stars hosts. This is reverse racism. The media is afraid o
I put it on and was not interested. Very dry and serious. I watched the Doctors for years but no longer. Big mistake !
Will not be watching the new series. New format and host is bad. Looking at comments no one else will be watching.
Wow all of a sudden the doctor show is gone, I miss them . I loved the show. Only found out by googli6it.
I will miss the earlier format of The Doctors TV Show. Primarily, I will miss the entire staff of doctors that hosted the program: Doctors Stork, Batra, Landry, Ho and Ordon. I really enjoyed their personalities and dialogue and the relevant medical topics and information presented. This is not meant to take anything away from Dr. Ian Smith, the new host.
I also was upset that The Doctors had a new format, a new host. No notice, doctors that I watched for so long and enjoyed, gone …..don’t care for the new format or new host, he is too serious. I’m sure it was a racial decision by the network, too bad, they had a great show, with doctors of varying diversity : Asian, middle eastern, black and white. We won’t be watching any longer
I prefer the previous cast. They were more interesting.
Sometimes TV shows are cancelled. This wasn’t cancelled, but completely wiped out
and replaced without an honest explanation to the viewers. I will miss the show and not be
watching the new format. Thank you, Dr. Travis and your teammates for the years of great
showing.
