An NBC psychological thriller, the first season of The Enemy Within stars Jennifer Carpenter, Morris Chestnut, Raza Jaffrey, Kelli Garner, Cassandra Freeman, and Noah Mills. The character-based drama centers on former CIA operative and now infamous traitor Erica Shepherd (Carpenter) and FBI Agent Will Keaton (Chestnut). In order to apprehend a looming threat, Keaton must tap Shepherd’s expertise, even though she’s serving a life sentence in a supermax prison.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Someone is trying to cancel The Enemy Within. Someone is stupid in math. The Enemy Within has a .75 rating and drew an average of 4.49 million people 18-49. Bull, its main competitor at 10pm on Mondays had an overall rating of .75 with 6.59 million viewers. WTF. And Bull was renewed by CBS, and Amblin left the show because of the Weatherly controversy. My husband and I both thought this was one of the best shows on TV. Don’t even think about canceling it. We are both in the over 49 demographic.

This program is one of the best releases that NBC has produced in years. It has action, suspense, keeps you on the edge of your seat and great interaction between the cast all the ingredients of a THRILLER. Can’t wait for the final episode. Please renew for season two!
