Ratings-challenged Those Who Kill is coming back to television — but it’s not returning to A&E. While the show hasn’t been cancelled, the move isn’t exactly a sign of confidence from the cable channel.
The show revolves around a homicide detective (Chloe Sevigny) and an academic forensic psychologist (James D’Arcy) who work to solve crimes in Pittsburgh. Others in the cast include James Morrison, Omid Abtahi, Kerry O’Malley, Bruce Davison, Kathy Baker, Michael Rispoli, and Anne Dudek.
A&E pulled Those Who Kill from the schedule after two episodes had aired to low ratings. The premiere attracted 3.07 million but the second installment plunged to just 830,000.
On the show’s Facebook page, it was quietly announced that the Chloe Sevigny series will return this Sunday on LMN TV (Lifetime Movie Network). LMN is a sister network to A&E.
The first two episodes will rerun starting at 8pm. Then, new episodes will air starting at 10pm. There are 10 episodes in the season.
While it’s nice that the remaining episodes will air, it’s unlikely that most fans will know they’re being shown. Many cable subscribers may not even know if they have LMN TV. The ratings will surely be terrible.
This move by A&E feels like they’re just burning off the remaining episodes, a sign that the show has essentially been cancelled already.
What do you think? Do you plan on watching the remaining episodes of Those Who Kill? Do you think the show will be cancelled or, is there a chance it could see a second season?
I really enjoyed watching this show. We just want to see it come back for a second season. I don’t care which network is going to air it….just bring it back.
They got me hooked on it and then I didn”t see it any more Loved it and really hope I can see it again
Looking forward to even more exciting drama very well written better than mist!!
I am so so so looking forward to season 2..when will it return?
It’s a brilliant psychological thriller and having watched all of season one I was really looking forward to the next season. I don’t watch TV too much because mostly it’s rubbish. This was better, far better.
I REALLY hope they make a second season. This show is amazing!
good show its jus whenever there is a good show on tv they just go on and cancel its ridiculous bring back the second season then let us at least finish this show I would like to find out what really happened to her brother I would like to find out about her stepfather that last episode all you heard were gun shots in the house need to know what happened bring the show back
I have been waiting for the second season and find out it has been canceled. Seriously? This was a great show!
Okay seriously now! why is it that every time there is a good show on tv they have to ruin it for the viewers and simply cancel it? this is outrageous!
This show is the bomb!!! Please keep it going! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!
Love this show. Great show.
One would think that after so much positive comments the network would get the hint. KEEP IT ON THE AIR!!! But we can only hope and keep on putting pressure on the network. Any t.v. station is good just so we can watch it!
Best psychological thriller on television. I can’t believe it’s been cancelled. Look at the number of people commenting on how good it was! I sure hope they rethink this boneheaded decision.
LOVE THIS SHOW.
