Would the life of police officer Allison McLean get a little less hectic in season two of the Ties The Bind TV show? We’ll never know. UP has cancelled the drama after one season of 10 episodes.
This dramatic series revolves around a tough and experienced female police officer from Seattle, played by Kelli Williams. Like most working women, Allison McLean’s hands are already full, balancing a demanding and dangerous job and a family — husband Matt (Jonathan Scarfe), and teenagers Jeff (Mitchell Kummen) and Rachel (Natasha Calis). She and her partner, Devin (Dion Johnstone), must arrest her brother, Tim (Luke Perry), for aggravated assault. As a result, her world drastically changes. The rest of the cast includes Matreya Scarrwener, Rhys Matthew Bond, Lucia Walters, and Aaron Craven.
The series debuted in August 2015 and the 10 episodes finished airing in October. The cable channel was apparently considering ordering a second season but earlier this year, they decided not to do so. A message on the show’s Facebook page notes:
After thoughtful consideration, UP has decided to not renew “Ties That Bind.” The decision was not made lightly as we appreciate our passionate viewers who were not ready for the story to end. We want to thank the cast and crew for their tremendous dedication. Your commitment to this series was extraordinary.
What do you think? Did you enjoy this cop drama? Should it have been cancelled? Would you have watched a second season of Ties That Bind on UP?
I loved this show! I only watched up for 3 reasons. Gilmore Girls, heartland and Tues that bind. I hate that yall keep cancelling things that I love. I guess I’m going to have to stop watching the network all together . I can’t keep getting my hopes up to be let down .
we loved this show

We loved watching this show as a family. The parents were strong characters and the children were all great actors. Please let us have more episodes..what happens to Cameron?

iReally Liked this show never heard of it but UPLifting and Hallmark is My Favorite Channels so to find a Family Series on UP was Awesome but now to finish the Show and find out that it won’t be a Season Two it Sucks… iBelieve UP should bring back Ties that Bind for a Few Season’s we need Sumthing Positive to Watch on TV in today’s Time so iVote for Ties that Bind to RETURN…
We really enjoyed the show very much and am very disappointed that it ended. It was a great show and had good real life drama
I was so looking forward to this show…I don’t like AFV, when people are hurt or get made fun of, that’s when I turn the channel, it’s not lifting each other up nor showing brotherly love.Anyway, I’ll miss TTB. BYU tv ended Granite Flats, there is not much on to watch anymore. I don’t like the reality shows.
It should not have been canceled. Please bring it back!
The show was really good, I’m disappointed.
I am sorry this show was cancelled. It was real about what life is with family. I don’t understand, but you keep crap show on. Maybe you should listen to your views. What a crap decession on your part.
