Trial & Error may have ended its first season earlier this month, but the show has more up its sleeves. TVInsider reports NBC has released a new spin-off called Mystery Now.
A scripted comedy, Trial & Error centers on new lawyer Josh Segal (D’Agosto), who is assigned to defend Larry Henderson (John Lithgow), a poetry professor accused of murdering his wife. The cast also includes Krysta Rodriguez, Steven Boyer, Jayma Mays, and Sherri Shephed.
NBC has not yet announced if Trial & Error will return for a second season or not, but the network has released an in-depth look at Larry Henderson’s past. Fans can now watch the web exclusive series Mystery Now, a Dateline spoof that investigates what happened to Larry’s first wife.

What do you think? Did you see Trial & Error? Do you want a second season?
NBC, you will be missing out if you do not renew this UNIQUE show, you do NOT have anything like it in your lineup and viewers are TIRED OF COOKIE CUTTER COMEDY. Please renew, Seinfeld, Mash and Friends did not start out as the iconic hits they became either.
I love this quirky comedy. And the actors characters just as funny. John Lithgow has always been great everything. Even Harry and the Hendersons. This reminds me of the movie.
PLEASE pick up another season.
It’s been a long time since I’ve found myself rewinding and rewinding a TV comedy because my hubby and I were both laughing so hard we kept missing dialogue! Trial & Error was beyond hilarious and we hope that NBC renews it!
BEYOND DUMB. GLADS ITS OVER. HOPEFULLY FOR GOOD.
I loved the show. I’m not crazy about comedies but found this clever and hilarious. I would love to
have the series return next year.
