It was a fairly quiet Easter’s eve for network television viewers and a 55-year old movie won the night. ABC’s annual showing of The Ten Commandments tied Cops in the 8pm hour but otherwise beat out everything else on the schedule.
Chase quietly (secretly?) returned on NBC and few seemed to notice or care. The network hasn’t officially cancelled Chase yet but there’s no way it’ll be back. NBC has four more unaired episodes on the shelf and they’re supposed to air over the next quartet of Saturdays. Unfortunately, with ratings like these, the network could very likely get better success with reruns of other crime dramas.

I enjoyed Chase last night–however, you did not do any service to the show because you decided to air it at the same “The Ten Commandments” and CSI New York were airing!
How fair is that? Also, there are those of us who were enjoying a different type of “typical” cop show that has been showing for years. Please bring it back–there are at least two nights that none of the major networks, NBC, CBS or ABC are airing anything worth watching. Very sorry you won’t give these people a “snowballs chance in Hell” to succeed!!!
