VH1 has decided to cancel their weekly recap series — Best Week Ever — for a second time.
The show debuted in 2002 and ran until it was cancelled in 2009. Then, in August 2012, the cable channel announced that Best Week Ever would be returning. The revived version started airing January 18th of 2013.
“Best Week Ever was a pioneer in pop culture commentary on television when it launched in 2004, delivering its signature blend of comedy and tongue-in-cheek opinions on the most entertaining news and pop culture stories of the previous seven days. The series also served as a national launching pad for many talented creatives and comedians. We thank them, and the viewers who tuned in each week,” VH1 said in a statement.

I used to watch this show and many others on VH1, the only music network to still play music videos for more than 1/2 hour a day. I LOVED this show, and was so upset when they canceled it that I almost completely stopped watching the channel at all. It was only a fluke that I happened to notice that they had brought the show back and have NEVER missed an episode since. I was looking for it last night and noticed that it was not on yet again. One more reason I don’t regret cutting the cable cord. It’s one of the few shows I couldn’t get on Hulu that I actually miss.
