Southland: Season Five Ratings

Southland season five ratingsWhen NBC cancelled Southland, it was hard to imagine that we’d be talking about season five of the show. Will the ratings be good enough for TNT to renew the show for a sixth year? We shall have to wait and see.

Revolving around police officers in Los Angeles, the show stars Ben McKenzie, Michael Cudlitz, Regina King, Shawn Hatosy, C. Thomas Howell, and Lucy Liu.

Below are the most recent ratings for the Southland TV series on TNT. The show’s ratings are the best way to tell if it will be cancelled or renewed for a sixth season. The fifth season of Southland airs on Wednesday nights and there are 10 episodes once again.

These figures will be updated as the weeks progress so be sure to bookmark and return to this page:

“Southland” is a series we absolutely never miss——and looking at the sponsors someone must think it is valuable. I hope to God they don’t cancel it.

Well if they canceled Leverage, they are definitely gonna cancel this. Really fans should be happy, NBC canceled it after a short first season, and they got four more seasons out of he show. They did technically renew it for a second season, but it never aired on NBC. Leverage was more than worth another season. Granted it got that good finale, but still. If they renew this show for a sixth season, it’ll just seem like a slap in the face, considering the ratings.

There is something unique about this cop drama that doesn’t exist anywhere else on television, certainly not on the phony network television offerings such as CSI and SVU. These characters seem so human to me, and Michael Cudlitz’s star turn as the anguished John Cooper is brilliant. Tell me he didn’t die in the season finale! TNT, do yourselves a favor and keep this show on the air! And do more to promote it!!

I’ve watched every episode of Southland from the start. I feel this show has it all, action, drama, most of all great acting. I think cooper is a bad ass cop who is doing what he was put on this planet to do. Michael Cudlitz plays cooper perfectly and i think hes most important to the show. Cooper Rocks! If the show returns for another season and hes dead ill be very disappointed! I’ve always been a C. Thomas Howell fan and i think its supercool that hes on the show. Even if his character is a bit annoying n over the top. Loved that movie the HITCHER! I think Southland is the best show on t.v. period!!!! i think Sammy is a great actor too. Sammy n Cooper make the show. To get rid of either of those guys is in my opinion is suicide for the show!!!

Absolutely the best show on television. With all the crap that makes it on TV to even think that this great show might be cancelled is unthinkable. Please renew and allow us this little island of quality entertainment in the vast sea of garbage that makes it on television.

Where, who and how are they getting these ratings?? Because surely they aren’t asking the right people…..it would be so shameful if this show was canceled when there is so much crap that is left on the air. Please, please don’t let all of the viewers that are addicted to this Amazingly Great show down……

This one of my favorite shows maybe if they had it on at an early time it would do better on ratings. Being on at 10:00 on a week night does not help. I hope it survives an d comes back for another season.

Someone else wrote that this show and the Walking Dead have the best characters on TV. Yes, Southland has the best writing and acting on TV. Especially Michael/Cooper. My goodness-he deserves an Emmy for his work the whole series. Please renew this show. PLEASE. I am most grateful it got picked up after NBC dropped it but please give us more. My son and I love this show. It has loyal followers!!
