People take their politics very seriously and political comedy TV series can be hit or miss in the ratings. Will The Brink attract enough viewers to be renewed for a second
term season on HBO or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
A dark comedy series, The Brink focuses on a geopolitical crisis and its effect on three disparate and desperate men — womanizing US Secretary of State Walter Larson (Tim Robbins), lowly Foreign Service officer Alex Talbot (Jack Black), and Zeke “Z-Pak” Tilson (Pablo Schreiber), a drug-dealing ace Navy fighter pilot. Others in the cast include Aasif Mandvi, Maribeth Monroe, Geoff Pierson, Esai Morales, Carla Gugino, and Eric Ladin.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
