Who are you working for? Sheila Vand can answer that question. She has been cast as a series regular in FOX‘s upcoming 24: Legacy TV series pilot. Vand played Maureen James on NBC‘s State of Affairs TV show, which was cancelled after its first season of 13 episodes.
Per Deadline, Vand is set as Nilaa, campaign director for Senator John Donovan (Jimmy Smits). Nilaa is described as, “…driven and bright and won’t take a back seat to the judgment of Donovan’s wife, Rebecca,” (Miranda Otto). The cast of 24: Legacy also includes Corey Hawkins, Teddy Sears, Anna Diop, Dan Bucatinsky, Coral Pena, Charlie Hofheimer, and Ashley Thomas.
In the series logline, FOX describes 24: Legacy as revolving around military hero Eric Carter’s (Hawkins) “return to the U.S. and the trouble that follows him back – compelling him to ask CTU for help in saving his life, and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.”
Thomas plays Isaac Carter, Eric’s big brother. The two have a bitter past, exacerbated by the fact that Eric is married to Isaac’s ex, Nicole (Diop).
Sears has been cast as Keith Mullins, Rebecca’s former deputy. Ambitious and driven, Mullins has replaced his old boss as the head of CTU.
Bucatinsky is set as CTU Communication Analyst Andy, who is not thrilled over being paired with fellow analyst Gia (Pena). His former Army Ranger unit parter, Marcus (Hofheimer), is living with PTSD.
Written by Manny Coto and Evan Katz, and directed by Stephen Hopkins, 24: Legacy is executive produced by Howard Gordon, Coto, Katz and Brian Grazer through 20th Century Fox TV, Imagine TV, and Gordon’s Teakwood Lane Productions.
What do you think of the cast the 24: Legacy TV show pilot so far? If FOX orders 24: Legacy to series, do you plan to check it out. Do you think it can feel like part of the 24 franchise, without Kiefer Sutherland? Sound off, in the comments, below.
I disagree with Shelia vand
