Week two didn’t bring any positive news in the demo department. The show dropped 14% to a 1.2 rating. Total viewership remains healthy however with 8.18 million, more than doubling what the other networks had.

The first episode registered a 1.4 in the 18-49 demographic and 9.45 million total viewers. It was in second place for the timeslot, behind Kitchen Nightmares in the demo. However, A Gifted Man easily won the timeslot in terms of total viewers, attracting nearly as many viewers as NBC, ABC, and CW combined.
Year-to-year, Gifted Man matched now-cancelled Medium’s demo number but improved on total viewership by more than 50%. CBS cancelled Medium with an average 1.4 rating so this wasn’t a great start.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the A Gifted Man TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?

Please,Please do not take a great show away from us. You have so many other shows that are offending, crime, rape, murder shows. You keep that. You seem to feel that this is entertainment. Think again.
This is the best show that shows compassion, careing about other people. Someone that care really about other people and wants to help. KEEP MY GIFTED MAN.
I LOVE this show and I really love Jennifer Ehle. I wish we would see more of her on the show, but regardless, the entire cast and stories are wonderful. People are often afraid to commit to a first season show because we are afraid of falling in love with it and then having it cancelled. It is not fair to pull a show after one season.
Please do not cancel this show! We watch it every Friday and if we are not home we DVR it. Was very disappointed when Ghost Whisperer was cancelled and this is our replacement show for that on Friday nights!
Please do not cancel the show. This is a great show, each new episode is better then the one before. Maybe it is time to listen to the fans, we need a show that is not about crimes and killing and more about helping one another and love.
Sorry ‘The Gifted Man’
Please…please…don’t cancel ‘The Gufted Man’. My husband and I love the show.
Love this intelligent, show. Haven’t enjoyed a Friday show this much since Numb3rs. CBS, Please consider letting the show hang in for one more season. It has so much potential!
I love this show and so does my family. Why not leave it on so that people that stay in on Fridays, who are adults, will have a well written series with a great cast. When a series wins the time slot but can’t stay on because it doesn’t fit in with the primary group can’t be renewed when it is on a night when the 18 year old age group doesn’t stay home on Friday seems rediculous. Someday you and the sponsors will realize that the people with the money to spend are the 45 and older group.
We think that this is one great show. We watch it every Friday night along with CSI New York and Blue Bloods. Friday’s , 2/10/2012, program was especially good. Great plot. We don’t particularly like Undercover Boss. It’s to wishy washy. If I had been the boss and I had a truck driver working for me that talked like that and handled customers like that, I would have fired him on the spot, or at least at the end of the day. As we said, Undercover Boss isn’t like that in the real world. Put A Gifted Man back on… Read more »
please not cancell!!!!
I Love the show! Get some ‘baby-boomer’ themes in there and you will see it surpass 10 million easy!
I love this show! They should put on a different night.
Please renew and DON’T Cancel this exceptional TV series.
Possible timeslot and day change might increase ratings. The concept of this series is so unique and thought provoking, it is refreshing. A lot of people record and watch at a later time, so I’m not sure how they would show up in the ratings numbers for this series, but they should be counted as well.
Do NOT cancel this show…..
Where’s the Save “A Gifted Man” petition?? Maybe if we can get the 8 million + viewers who watch A Gifted Man week after week, to sign it, we can save this show. Unfortunately, CBS is like #1 in overall ratings (maybe Fox) and A Gifted Man is almost at the bottom of total CBS viewers week after week. Look here: http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/cbs-2011-2012-ratings/ Please note that “A Gifted Man” consistently wins its time slot week after week but the Demo group (age 19 to 49) isn’t watching it very much so that is why it will probably be cancelled. Most other… Read more »
