ABC is making friends. Deadline reports the network has picked up a pilot about a straight-gay friendship from Mindy Project co-star Ed Weeks.

The untitled project joins ABC’s recent pilot order for Gabriel Iglesias’ new sitcom The Fluffy Shop.

From Weeks and Peep Show writer Brit Mackay, the comedy will center on the co-dependent and dysfunctional friendship between “a neurotic straight male” and his best friend, “an unapologetic lesbian.”

Weeks currently stars as Dr. Jeremy Reed on Hulu’s The Mindy Project.
